BREAKING: ENOCH BURKE SPEAKS OUT AGAINST LIES AND MISREPRESENTATION Orla O'Connor is the Legal Affairs Correspondent for RTÉ, the state broadcaster. In her report today, she failed to report one word of what Enoch Burke spoke in today's High Court hearing. Judge Brian Cregan said that Enoch Burke can have his religious belief “outside the gate” of Wilson's Hospital School. The Constitution states otherwise: “freedom of conscience and the free profession and practice of religion… guaranteed to every citizen” (Article 44.2.1). Judge Cregan’s function and role on the bench is to uphold that Constitution, not his own ideas. The topic of the Court’s judgment this morning was how much Enoch Burke will be fined. The same Court has never dealt with the rights and wrongs of a School Principal demanding a teacher to use the “they” pronoun and a new name for a student in a classroom. This was Principal Niamh McShane’s demand of all teachers in Wilson's Hospital School. This was the basis for Enoch Burke's suspension - his refusal to comply with Principal McShane's demand. Judge Brian Cregan has closed his eyes to the Principal’s instruction and refused to vindicate Enoch Burke’s constitutional rights. Separately Judge Cregan is proposing to ban Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke from attending court hearings. No particulars have been provided by Judge Cregan for why this sanction is being proposed. The Court has not addressed serious concerns raised in correspondence to the Court by Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke, and Judge Cregan misrepresented the nature of that correspondence in Court this morning.

Today, Belgian police blocked me — a sitting Member of the European Parliament — from entering the European Parliament for nearly an hour. They were on the phone with Brussels Mayor Philippe Close, who was personally directing their actions. We have video footage of the incident. The Mayor prevented me from delivering over half a million European citizens’ signatures for the @SaveEuropeAct initiative. This is unacceptable. The EU is a union of 27 member states. No single country — and certainly not one socialist mayor of a single city — has the right to decide which MEPs from other nations can carry out their democratic duties. My team and I will launch a formal investigation into the mayor’s conduct.

Irish Taxi Driver Who Sexually Assaulted 14-Year-Old Schoolgirl in Scotland Walks Free From Court. Farrukh Naseem Butt, 45, an Irish national (as confirmed by his Companies House records) and private hire taxi driver from East Kilbride, Glasgow, has walked free from court after sexually assaulting a 14-year-old schoolgirl. Butt picked up the teenager from a friend’s house in Edinburgh in the early hours of 16 February last year and was driving her home to Midlothian when he diverted into a supermarket car park and assaulted her. At Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, Sheriff Douglas Kier described the offence as serious but chose a direct alternative to custody. The sheriff told Butt: "You have been found guilty of a serious sexual offence against a 14-year-old girl who had placed her trust in you as a private hire driver. You took advantage of that position of trust and you exploited her vulnerability for your own personal gratification." Butt was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid community work, placed on a three-year supervision order, and added to the Sex Offenders Register for three years. He must also attend a sex offenders rehabilitation programme and is banned from contacting children under 16 or visiting play parks. His defence lawyer, Anna Kocela, said Butt is a first-time offender who is now unemployed, and that prison would leave his wife vulnerable while caring for their three children. Loven er kritiseret fra begge fløje og er ofte sammenlignet med love man ser i autokratier. 🚨Et EU, der håner sit oprindelige ideal🚨 Vi står altså nu tilbage med et EU, der har kvalt vores konkurrenceevne med reguleringer, og som samtidig via dybt anti-demokratiske metoder indfører store indgreb i vores privatliv. Ahsan Rasool previously purchased a house for cash while working as a petrol station attendant. Qasim and Ahsan Rasool are based in Longford, Ireland. They own the Candy Cloud vape shop on Longford’s Main Street where a lot of the drugs were found

I was on Newstalk this morning discussing something that's been on my mind for a while: why does Ireland ask so little of people applying for citizenship, when almost every other country in Europe asks for more? Spain requires a language exam and a civics test with a 60% pass mark. Germany requires B1 language plus a 33-question test on German society and law. France introduced a mandatory civic exam this year, alongside a B2 language requirement for naturalisation. Ireland asks for neither. This conversation has been prompted by the Bouchaker case, and I want to be careful here: I'm not saying that case proves language causes crime, and the Taoiseach was right to make that point. But it does show up a wider gap in our system, one where someone can gain citizenship without ever demonstrating a working knowledge of the language or the civic life of this country. That's not about being harsh. It's about bringing Ireland's rules in line with what the rest of Europe already does. Have a listen to the interview and let me know what you think.

The EEC & EC were good for Ireland and brought prosperity to the country, including funding infrastructure and roads. It would have remained good until 1993 EU membership. Do you remember the banking and economic crash with Brussels threats of bombs going off in Dublin if we didn't bail out French and German bond holders costing Irish taxpayers billions. Standard of living you say is better. Have you asked thousands of young people who cannot afford to rent or buy an apartment never mind a house with front and back garden etc. Have looked at the number of young adults still living with their parents? Nowadays we even have ministers praising the fact that modular homes can now be placed in the back garden, if you have a garden. Have you looked at apartments being reduced to minimum sizes. By the way have you heard of road tolls and who has to pay for the road infrastructure since 1993? Have you seen the state of many other roads? Employment, half of those employed don't pay income tax due to low earnings. And all of those low earners have to live somewhere but entitled to social welfare, who is going to pay that? Have you looked at taxes imposed by FG since they came to power? Downwards we have gone, slowly but like frogs in boiling water not noticeable.
