⁉️So get this, AMD is making a bold move to own the affordable personal inferencing market by launching a Mini PC in June, a 128GB Shared Memory Inferencing Box 🎇 They call it the ⬭ Halo Box. 🧾 It's a Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 (16 Zen 5 cores + 40 RDNA 3.5 CUs + XDNA 2 NPU) ✅ Up to 128GB LPDDR5X-8533 unified memory ✅ Full ROCm support + Day-0 AI model optimization 🧪 Built for local AI development (up to ~200B param models) 📈 Direct shot at NVIDIA’s $4,699 DGX Spark and could cost $2,000–$3,000 (as they do now) 🤔 Why launch now during the RAM shortage? While memory makers divert capacity to HBM for AI data centers (driving LPDDR5X prices to spike and NVIDIA to raise the price of DGX Spark by $700), AMD is making a bold move to own the affordable, high-memory AI mini-PC segment before the crisis worsens. 💡 My Speculation: AMD could be using its contracts, relationships, and strategic priority to secure better memory access than many traditional OEMs. This could give them an advantage in launching the Halo Box during the shortage. Suggestions for a small footprint machine for running local models for my home use? Price point for DGX Spark feels a bit steep for this use. Currently running on a workstation with a rtx5090, but as the load is somewhat constant and all the GPU VRAM is in use…ping @NVIDIAAI any good ideas??🥳

Absolutely disgusted with @Emirates. Bought a Business Class ticket on Expedia thinking I was flying a top class airline. At check-in they refused lounge access and treated me like dirt with the rudest staff imaginable. Flying through danger zones already had me worried , i now know why. Emirates is the airline from hell.

Not sure about little buddy, but I guess everyone has their own opinion. I have had laptops for 30 years and not a single Apple device has had hardware problems, with the exception of one model having a really bad keyboard. I have had non-Apple laptops with broken motherboards, disks, I have had smoke coming out, displays with dead pixels and many other issues...

@c3rb3ru5d3d53c Most Mac’s have a longer lifetime than PCs no matter whether they have memory or disks that can be replaced. Overall quality of build is far more superior..

@devyn @HackingDave Did you apply for your "enterprise" or private account? I have been trying to figure out how I can apply for the account I am using for my own research as enterprise accounts often have some level of limitations in any case.

Well, I got approved for the "Cyber Verification Program" followed by a message stating if I continue violating the 'Acceptable Use Policy' they'll apply enhanced safety filters to my chats.
The 'Learn more' button gave me an email to reach out to which I did... got an immediate reply to fill out an appeal for the ban I don't have. So that's cool..?
