Light Bringer, the sixth in @Pierce_Brown's Red Rising series, has claimed the title of my favorite book of all-time.
It's a bloodydamn masterpiece.

@car5roll @zachkruse2 @Pierce_Brown The second trilogy is awesome because it follows up on the natural consequences of the first trilogy in a way a lot of fiction doesn’t. But I would say that the first trilogy wraps up really nicely and jumping right in kinda takes the wind out of your sails after MS imo

Reminder: I've been in the lab ever since the NFL Draft ended charting the rookies from last season for the Year 2 WR drop on the #ReceptionPerception site, which will begin on Monday the 11th! It's always one of my favorite groups of WRs to chart every year, and this is a super fascinating crop of players. You can count on almost, but not all of the guys in green or yellow being up on the site by Monday morning and I'll circle back to the ones I leave off by the end of the summer.

MVS finished that game with 115 yards receiving including a 50 yard TD. Another WR was not going to be the difference, unless Higgins could play left tackle.

We talked about this on the show today a bit. The perfect parallel is when GB drafted Jordan Love. They could have had Tee Higgins. That year, they lost by 5 in the NFCCG when Davante Adams had 15 targets and the next GB WR had 6. Higgins had ~900 yards as a rookie. Would he have been the difference? Not sure, but you can't definitively say no. That's basically the debate each team had. Does this WR get us another ring while our old QB is still going vs will the QB secure the next decade after transition? I think arguing either side is reasonable.

Not having a first-round pick makes it a bit easier, but this is the first Packers draft I can remember where there wasn’t a real obvious blinking light player GB passed on to take their guy. Cisse went later than expected and DT was a huge need position.

@RossUglem It’s felt like the Packers acknowledge that CB is a really volatile position where the great ones come at a premium and so decided to try and exploit a market inefficiency with the whole weak link philosophy over elite talent. It hasn’t worked but I can see the vision

@Peter_Bukowski There’s not much precedence but what if the Packers approached him/his agent and said “you saw what we did with Willis. Sign a small, one-year extension to give you a two year runway in our program.”

The bar for Richardson to get the Willis deal would also be considerably lower than Willis' was because of what we've seen from Richardson already and his draft pedigree.
If he played well in preseason and then got a Week 18 start where he played well, that might be enough.
