@TheKiwiStoa They’ll be studying this lot with the Roundheads in future generations as examples of when populist nonsense temp infected the UK.

From someone who has no idea how the EU works 👇
Jonathan Lane 🇪🇺🇬🇧🇫🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪@jlaorganbuilder

@danielmgmoylan @Otto_English Please point to any time since joining the EU that we lost our own democracy, when did Germany or France appoint our government, when did we not have a say over what WE did? I need real evidence please. All that has happened is we have lost any say over laws we have to follow.

@Outcome_Code_14 Intelligence vs common sense. Knowing tomatoes are fruit vs putting them in the fruit salad. Was interviewed by the @FinancialTimes last week, will be speaking to students at Russell group universities next month about my specialist subject. No degree.

This is excellent and this line: "the idea that the only way to impart skills is to provide a low-contact facsimile of the sort of liberal arts education once provided to the scions of the upper classes is absurd", neatly expresses the stupidity of mandatory degrees in policing.
Henry Hill@HCH_Hill

Any employer who sets a degree requirement in a job description is saying their business needs university training to function - so why aren't they paying for it? | my latest for @CapX capx.co/a-graduate-tax…

@Mr_Andrew_Fox A bit like the difference between kiwi and Aussie accents. To tell the difference just listen to how they end their sentences, and if after a couple they haven’t told you they’re an Aussie they’re a kiwi.

“Joe down the pub doesn’t know why he voted leave”. Patronising idiot.
Jas - Never Tory or Labour - EU & Irish Citizen ❤@MichelleJaspe11

@danielmgmoylan @Otto_English The problem is ... Joe down the pub still doesn't know why he voted leave - the political set - oh they know - they know exactly why they lied to Joe ... meanwhile Joe's standard of living plummets whilst some prosper... Brexit is in reality the most damaging political stunt ever

@RajSKohliexcop This is gathering pace, with loneliness being shown to be as impactful on our health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

@LCplLarry And NHS trusts are binning tons of emergency care kit that’s just expired but still eminently serviceable.

#NAFO I'm telling you, as a serving member of the British Army, we've got thousands of CATs, FFDs, chest seals, you name it, in storage, doing nothing. I see fellas donating £ks at a time for the same, when we could send an A400M's worth without blinking an eyelid.
Molodets@Molodets719469

@BWallaceMP, you have been an excellent friend to Ukraine, are you able to help with this? @LCplLarry has been working on this for 6 months with no reply.

One of the (many) criticisms I get around my advocation/support of men in uniformed services (especially military) is that because I haven't served I can't understand their trauma but I don't need to experience a specific trigger to empathise with how it can manifest & present.

Some of you have noticed I've 'pulled back' on here & that I'm not tweeting as often or as much of my men's mental health advocacy as usual. I'm ok but going through a dip of not enjoying it on here & being busy supporting myself & my people. I'll pick up again at some point 🙏🏼

My understanding is that sadly the funding for @opsurfwell was withdrawn by the previous DCP Chief Constable and as a result it has evolved into a business using surf therapy to help people across many different professions. It’s the same great concept, but funded differently, and more accessible to people & organisations outside of public services. I’ll stand corrected if I’ve got it wrong.

Looking for recommendations. Decided to get a bit proactive about curating my timeline, removing as many bots, weirdos and conspiracy cranks as possible starting with this obvious nut. Any more suggestions?

Reference 'Gospel Gate' - I am not sure it deserves the pile on it deserves. She made a mistake around the law and was unprofessional with sticking her tongue out. BUT she volunteers her time to be a police officer and deserves kudos for that.

@HCH_Hill The Gram had a couple lads that flew from their respective homes in the UK to Spain for a pint together, was cheaper than catching the train to see each other. Both lived in the north as well😂

@MailOnline Surrounded by criminals that want to seriously maim or kill you and are actively looking for any opportunity to do so. That’s the reality for anyone convicted of these sorts of offences.

@MFIJake @implausibleblog @Stephen3Parker 10 000 miles away and still able to produce beef and lamb for UK tables cheaper and more carbon efficiently than UK farmers. This is why trade deals aren’t always that straight forward.

@implausibleblog @Stephen3Parker And the groundbreaking deal we already had with Japan via the EU was made worse after Brexit by Truss renegotiating it. The only new deals of note are with Australia and New Zealand - 10,000 miles away. Badenoch is a liar.

Trevor Phillips, "We were promised that Brexit would allow us to be a global trading power. We've signed 70 deals but they are what we had before when we were in the EU. There are very few new deals, and the ones we have had are with small partners like New Zealand less than 2/10 of 1% of our trade. We're not doing very well are we?" Kemi Badenoch, "We are doing well.. We signed 73 deals" TP, "But they were the same as the were before when we were in the EU" KB, "Yes, some of those were the same as before, but people said we couldn't do them"
