Allocation Strategy is out. These are the images that tell the story of our mindset for me. Everyone was anticipating a single way to cut the 54k bidders, but for us there were two groups: 1. People who have already committed time (community) 2. People who are signaling that they will commit future-time (investors and lock-up selectors) That gave us the ability to dissect people who participated and be generous with those who have been there already, giving them the opportunity to deepen their connection to our ecosystem and be well-positioned come TGE. It also allowed us the ability to allocate towards people who clearly thing long-term as we do and give them a disproportionate amount of exposure to us. Excited for what's next.

Announcing The Conviction Round Methodology We've spent the last 5 days sorting through $1.39B dollars and 53,000 bidders to find the right owners for $MEGA's Public Sale. Namik's article deeply details our approach and the shape of allocations. Scroll for highlights. (thread)

So much for a chain that preaches “decentralization.” It’s supposed to give everyone a fair chance to launch, deploy, or ape a token on mainnet. but with shit like this, get ready to get farmed once they open the mainnet to the public. PvP even before the chain is live, sorry not sorry, and game is game, lmao.

Apparently @flapdotsh took advantage of having gas on mainnet and deployed all the good tickers 😅 x.com/poptyedev/stat…

My Final Take on the Monad Airdrop Saga While I appreciate that the allocation was increased, I can’t deny that most of the trust we had in the team is gone. You selected 5,500 of us. You called us stakeholders. Then you turned around and rewarded outsiders more than the actual community. To make it worse, a team member, @billmondays referred to us as “the community’s community.” That was completely disrespectful. The whole thing was a massive L for the chain. At this point, I’m skeptical of anything the Monad team plans, especially Monad Momentum. It honestly feels like the only thing they’re trying to farm is mindshare. In the conversation between @GbiayeB and Bill Monday, it came out that the FUD was anticipated, they expected the backlash and still went through with it. Now, @keoneHD claims the reason for the confusing allocations was to prevent people from doxxing their wallets. But that explanation doesn’t hold up, especially considering how poorly the community team handled things. Let’s be real, it was all marketing. They thought it was a clever strategy, and when it backfired, they scrambled to fix it by adding more tokens. Even that felt like another play to farm attention. If you were confident in your initial plan, why change it? And if safety was truly the concern, why reveal things early in the first place? Honestly, I’m starting to question the team’s competence. The only silver lining is that DApps on mainnet will be built by different people, hopefully ones with some integrity. Once the chain is live, we won’t have to deal with the Monad team’s drama. I’m still here for the tech, but from now on, I’ll only use DApps that create real value, not ones chasing airdrops or social hype. Thanks for the allocation increase, but throwing more tokens at us doesn’t erase how poorly this was executed. This whole experience was disappointing, and I hope I never get caught up in something like this again. GMonad 💜

gmonad team as you all can see the fud has clouded everything rn let’s do some “damage control”. let's boost the base allocation for our 5500 core community from 9,998k to 32,000 $MON. the wider CT allocation range stays at 100k–400k tokens. so if anyone complains now, we can tag them as “greedy mfs” instead of botters. and I see lots of you thanking the team. They didn’t listen; they continue to play mind games and shit on y’all… LMFAO and please before any team member comment on this: KINDLY OPEN OG TELEGRAM GC🙏😂

Hi Tunez, I’ve been a monad hater since Day 1 simply because the community members were always too protective of monad and would go lengths to protect their “chain” With the airdrop allocations, you simply put them on a platter for people like us. I’ve seen grave dancing but never like this. 2 years of defending monad only to be outperformed by people who despises you makes it more comical. This is a tweet from February when the cult members sorry community were gatekeeping your chain.

Honestly, they would have been grateful for the free monies if you treated every core 5500 community member well. They’re human as well and they won’t sell their soul to you cuz of the free $. They’re attacking you cuz you rugged 80% of your 5500 core community you used for marketing and you’re being sooo ignorant about that fact. Head of growth my a$$.

Looks like @monad handed out airdrops like Halloween candies to every Trick-or-Treating KOL who put their hands out for a treat while giving their very own community dust particles Except me of course for speaking the truth 🫡

@Zedizeus1 @cryptunez It’s all so tiring man They basically did the survivorship bias plane and said yeah everything is okay We all know how the .hls are always defending Jeff and hyperliquid, monad had that without mainnet even. .nads would have been so cool man, we would have been happy but damn.

Monad Cards and Monad Monad Boxes are our team's attempt to create a memorable, fun, and unique experience while distributing airdrop tokens ahead of the public network launch. Significant input went into the airdrop design. On the community side, we built completely new tools like the Recognizer app to gather community input. We analyzed a huge volume of social activity data using techniques like graph analysis. The Community team spent months manually reviewing profiles. And after the initial strength indicators became public, there also was a vouching process for community members to vouch for people that might have been missed. Your initial stake in the Monad network was a result of these factors. The airdrop also included wallets and social identities that are not currently members of the Monad Community. Monad is a big project, with big ambitions to be a significant epicenter of financial activity. It is important to offer people who are very active in crypto more generally and who create significant value through their DeFi/trading activity, investing activity on platforms like Echo or Legion, or membership in other communities, an opportunity to be a stakeholder in the future Monad network. I recognize that not everyone is satisfied with their allocations. It is an imperfect process, and when the stakes are this high, emotions run high. This is the start of the Monad Mainnet, and there will be many more opportunities. I would encourage everyone to be kind to each other, now but also more generally. Monad is a big and ambitious project, and if what our team - and all of the developers and community builders in the Monad Ecosystem - have built is meaningful, then it will be a point of discourse on Crypto Twitter for many years. In the future, critics will make Monad a big part of what comes out of their mouths, oftentimes preying on emotions, because cynicism and negativity get strong engagement. It is part of the price of relevance. To the members of the Monad Community, your voices have grown substantially over the past few years. As the mainnet begins and the Monad world grows, it is your time to step into your role as a larger commentator in the crypto community. What you do and say shapes the direction of the space, so wield the power with kindness and judiciousness.
