2025 was a massive year for Figma and Q4 was our best quarter yet: → accelerated Q4 revenue growth to 40% YoY → Q4 net dollar retention rate up 5% from Q3 for $10k+ customers → adjusted free cash flow margin for Q4 of 13% → ended 2025 with $1.7B cash and investments AI offers a new creative starting point. Design is where the work connects and how you push to something great. We want Figma to be the place where it all comes together. Big year ahead!

Today we're announcing @_panthalassa’s $140M Series B, led by Peter Thiel, with participation from John Doerr and many other incredible investors. The mission: unlock the ocean as another planetary-scale energy resource for humanity. First stop: compute.

wowwow Holy Shit I let Opus 4.7 pick any art on my computer they'd like to use as a starting frame for an animation, and then prompt gptimage2 for animation frames however they'd like to make a 100 frame animation here was the result note - gptimage2 only made 4 images, each one was a 5x5 grid of frames, so that totals to 100

Never talk about goblins, gremlins, raccoons, trolls, ogres, pigeons, or other animals or creatures unless it is absolutely and unambiguously relevant to the user's query. IYKYK

The memory side of this was a compounding effort six months in the making. A 4x reduction in out-of-memory crashes. 76% fewer weekly out-of-memory events. 71% reduction for our highest-risk files. We got there through smarter memory loading, more aggressive memory cleanup, geometry cache reductions, font unloading, and data structure optimizations that cut roughly 100MB of memory usage. No single fix did it, but each one made the improvement larger. So proud of the team for the grit it took to deliver this win for our most complex files! 🫶

Made some improvements to make your workflows faster. Like a lot faster. → Vector editing up to 10x faster → Make frame rates 4x smoother → Faster load times → 92% fewer memory warnings

Just tried Claude Design. Burned through my Pro weekly limit in one session, but boy was I happy. I don’t think Figma is going to be replaced by this anytime soon. It still works best if you give it hand-designed layouts, color choices, type choices, etc). That said, the experience is miles ahead of Figma Make. Only because it makes a serious effort of structuring your design system and it makes creating one from existing artifacts super duper easy (GitHub repo, Figma files, brand assets, copy samples). I’m an indie maker, and putting together a design system has always been a bit of a chore, but this has legitimately taken a lot of work of my plate. Now, if only Figma worked this way! Autogenerate or update a design system from the decisions I’ve made in my mockups and my repo. A boy can dream!
