@History__Speaks Not to forget, when some protests occurred in Gaza during the genocide with 100000's of victims, Zionists were ecstatic - for too many, the genocide is completely OK, because they see the existence of Palestinian resistance and not Israeli colonial aggression as the problem.

While the Western "Pro-Palestine" movement demands support for Hamas, among people in Gaza, the organization doesn't have anything like a consensus of people supporting it. Ask people in Gaza, or look at the polling. Opposition almost certainly is a solid majority. Yes: Hamas still has lots of supporters. I'd never deny Hamas supporters are part of Palestinian and Gazan society, and far from a fringe. But Hamas supporters are, I'm firmly convinced, in the minority in Gaza. The organization is a lot more popular in the West Bank, where people don't live directly under their rule, and are understandably frustrated by the PA's corruption and inability to do anything about constant mob ethnic violence by Israeli settlers. It's also become popular in the Western solidarity movement, among diaspora Arabs as well as pro-Palestine non-Arabs, as the product of a process of purity spiralling.

@History__Speaks Imo most Palestinians support resistance to occupation (including the right to armed resistance) and surely most Palestinians want their right to return. Even if you do not support "Hamas", we still must make it clear that Hamas' existence and demands are legit and have support

@History__Speaks I think it is a matter of principle. Hamas is a legit liberation movement, Palestinians have a right to resist occupation, have a right to live free from oppression, have a right to return. Israel does not tolerate any resistance (armed or peaceful) - we must reiterate the facts

@politicsusa46 @politicsusa46 Like, especially since 2017, Hamas have done a lot of clarify their political positions to anyone interested. The Israeli vision is genocide of Arabs. The Palestinian vision has always been a free Palestine with equal rights for all people, regardless of religion.

@politicsusa46 @politicsusa46 There is a framing that we should avoid. Very often discussions sound like if Israel "only" targeted "Hamas", it would be justifiable, but it is not. Hamas is a legit national liberation movement under occupation. Hamas members and supports have a right to life.

@politicsusa46 @politicsusa46 Israel's been spewing anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, anti-Muslim racist hoaxes + genocidal incitement for decades. Hamas' statements are always rooted in law and demanding basic rights. Hamas respects agreements, acts much more humanely than Israel in any respect.

@politicsusa46 @politicsusa46 When you compare Hamas and Israel - for 20+ years, Hamas has been offering Israel lasting peace in exchange for an end of the occupation. It has always been Israel that refused to end the occupation. People dont know of it cuz we do not talk about Hamas factually

@politicsusa46 @politicsusa46 Even if Hamas did not exist, the Palestinian national consensus is that people have a right to resist occupation (incl. armed struggle). Also, most Palestinians want their right to return to their homes. These are very normal, basic demands, that Hamas also has.

@AssalRad @AssalRad I understand fully what you mean. Still, even if the occupation was really "targeting Hamas", it would be illegal. Members of Hamas and supporters of Hamas also have a right to live in freedom and dignity. We need to talk about that more.

🚨This short film exposes the true story of Israel's creation, entirely through the words of its own founders For decades, Israel’s lies have been carefully designed to demonize its victims. To ensure that no matter the crimes it commits, the children it slaughters, the world remains incapable of empathy for Palestinians, or at best, treats it with the same apathy that has allowed this to go on for as long as it has On the 78th anniversary of its creation, it's time the world knew that Israel's past is not different from the brutal present the world is finally seeing

@ori_goldberg @ZohranKMamdani He threw his own wife under the bus under pressure from Zionists, condemned Palestinian resistance etc. Capitulation to Zionists has never helped anyone. Hopefully, Mamdani will manage to get more unapologetic in support of Palestinian liberation. That too got him elected.

What mayor @ZohranKMamdani is doing should be a lesson to the whole world. He doesn't apologize. He doesn't "prove" his merit. He has a clear set of values that guides him and one of them is standing up to perhaps the biggest bully ever seen - the international hasbara machine.

@ori_goldberg @ZohranKMamdani Imho he does apologize way too much on Palestine. The video about Nakba was ok, but he still e.g. condemns (Jewish) protests against land thefts auctions in synagogues as antisemitic. Acts regularly as if he did not know a thing about the movement he was a member of.

@Aboujahjah @Aboujahjah I get your point, but we really need to make it clear to the broader public that a person who supports resistance to Zionist occupation completely has a right to life in freedom and dignity. Too often "being Khamas" is treated as "being killable". We must change that.

After Michael Freilich, another Belgian traitor is asking Israel to silence Belgian journalists. If they could they would kill our journalists with drones and say they are khamas.
David Rosenberg@DR_Antwerpen

.Prime Minister @netanyahu , Foreign Minister @gidonsaar , and Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism @AmichaiChikli : Perhaps you should consider whether the Belgian far-left newspaper @demorgen also deserves scrutiny in your broader legal and public fight against media outlets spreading false narratives, conspiracy theories, and defamatory reporting about Israel. For years and especially since October 7, De Morgen has published a relentless stream of one-sided accusations, distortions, and ideologically driven attacks against Israel, often echoing narratives that fuel antisemitism across Europe. If legal action is being considered against international media organizations for knowingly spreading falsehoods about Israel and the Jewish people, perhaps it is time to also examine the role of influential European newspapers that contribute daily to misinformation, demonization, and anti-Israel hysteria. Freedom of the press should never become a shield for systematic disinformation and incitement. @HartvoorIsrael @BelgianFOI @s_antisemitisme @IsraeliPM @IsraelMFA @IditAbu @eurojewcong @StateSEAS @RadioJudaicaBxl @ralphpais @EJAssociation

@Alonso_GD A few years ago they were not even using the word "Palestinian". Their manifesto of 24 pages does not mention the Nakba or ethnic cleansing or anything really. Just stuff like "the government does not care about us". Pure liberal Zionism not interested in Palestinian liberation.

@Alonso_GD No inspirational message there. Standing Together are Zionists, very keen on maintaining apartheid colonialism. Some of their leadership actively participated in genocide. The whole thing mainly is a liberal Zionist effort to deny freedom to Palestinians and to delay justice.

@AssalRad Even "targeting Hamas" cannot be a justification. The Israeli entity has no right to target the people it occupies. Members and supporters of Hamas also have a right to live in freedom and dignity, without Israeli oppression and violence.

@uriweltmann @omdimbeyachad Your action will only defeat racism if you challenge the foundations of the Israeli state (the ongoing Nakba). The foundations of the state are racist and genocidal towards Palestinians. Zionism as an ideology and as a practice must be abolished on a structural level.

🟣 @omdimbeyachad

!/ This step by the Gov't of Israel is colossal irresponsibility of the highest order. Moked Jerusalem reports that the Gov't is to announce on Sunday the expropriation of Palestinian properties in one of the most important locations in East Jerusalem. The pretext? Security.
