I keep wondering what exact reforms the oppositions want to campaign with to unseat Tinubu. Is it the fuel subsidy removal? FX unification? Partial removal of subsidy on electricity? Students Loan? Huge Infrastructural projects like Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway etc? Foreign Direct Investments? Or maybe I should ask: What different economic policies are they bringing to build a collapsed economy of ours different from Tinubu's economic policies? Even the former minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Okonjo Eweala during Jonathan government warned that Nigeria's economy would collapse if naira was kept artificially defended and fuel kept subsidized. As of May 29, 2023, the economy had already collapsed. So, Tinubu met a collapsed economy where our GDP to tax ratio was 0.5; $1.5 billion was borrowed to subsidize fuel on monthly basis; money was printed and borrowed to pay salaries etc. Over dependence of long decades on free economy at the expense of our national treasury is what is still affecting an average Nigerian. Whereas, we need to have woken up to the present and global economic realities. The pump price of fuel per litre in Nigeria is $0.80. In US, it is $1.17 which is 22.5 percent higher. In India, it is 25 percent higher. In South Africa, it is 35 percent higher. Nigeria is now selling crude oil in naira to Dangote Refineries and to local refineries. The feat no Nigerian Government could achieve. It is achieved under Tinubu - led administration. Economy is gradually improving under Tinubu. So, 2027 is a done deal. It is not disputable.

@SNnajiude @dadadavidob @Big_marvis This sounds very stupid, how many years did it take China to grow?? 10yrs.. Nigeria through its development has been filled with corrupt officials who have built reputation and wealth through exploitation of the masses over the past 58yrs and you want ONE man to undo it in 3yrs?

Let’s be honest, Tinubu’s wahala is too much! 1. You can’t launder money. 2. Snakes cannot swallow money. 3. No helicopter flies cash on a private jet to buy weapons for fighting insurgency. 4. Money once enjoyed from subsidies by a few individuals is now shared among states and LCDAs to develop the grassroots. 5. Students are no longer dropping out of school, and there will be fewer miscreants on the streets of Nigeria. 6. No more fuel scarcity, and black-market fuel trading has stopped. 7. He's building infrastructures to improve the wellbeing of citizens. 8. The Naira is stabilized, it’s not ₦2,000/$1. 9. Past corrupt officials are using prison terms to do elegbejoda. If the wahala reach you, you don cast Aje! You don’t expect the Arije nidi ibajes not to fight back.

"I decided to be audacious with infrastructure, things that people planned 47 years, 45 years back and they couldn't do. I embark upon that. Open 800 kilometers of waterfront road, Calabar Coastal Road, so that I can create opportunity for those who will stay in and enjoy tourism in Nigeria. It's a beautiful country if you know how to use it." — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Africa CEO Forum Me: What will I gain if I leave this visionary man and support a minimalist?

@MasterBolaji I said this before the 2023 elections and I'm saying it again P.O does not have the capacity to build Nigeria. Rufai of Arise News was interviewing him and he was just totally off point on economic policies.

THE TINUBU $1TRILLION ECONOMY AND WAILERS SMALL MIND.... Great mind think of the unthinkable..... While small minds think of Hero beer and rice.... When a country have visionary leaders.... Great citizens ignore the noise and key into the vision.... Tinubu is putting his bricks together in the solid foundation he has built.... and the building is becoming visible.... When Tinubu said he wants to build a $1trillion economy by 2031..... I had no doubt among sea of skeptics ...Not after devaluation of Naira pushed Nigeria dollar GDP bellow $300billion from over $400billion... By the end of 2026 Nigeria economy could climb above $370billion if Naira remain firm as it is today according to IMF... In 2026 Nigeria economy is projected to grow above 4% after same figure in 2025.... The highest sequence in the last 10 years.... If Tinubu could grow Nigeria economy above 5% in 2027 and over 6% in 2028 then the dream could be realistic.... Tinubu started with the banks... Before 2023... Nigeria major banks had a capitalization of $53million.... Today Nigeria major banks are now capitalized to the tune of over $374million... The banks now have the funds to give out and grow Nigeria..... But interest rate of over 20% is still not investment friendly... Interest can only go down to single digit if inflation hit single digit... Tinubu has defeated inflation from over 24% in 2023 to 15%.... The US misadventure in Iran is a set back.... But if Tinubu hit single inflation and interest digit by 2028..... States must play their role by positioning themselves and digitalizing their land registration, so that millions of Nigerians with houses and lands can collaterize them to get bank loans for massive investments.... Ignore those not looking at inflation drop, interest drop, reserve rise, GDP rise, Naira stability and others under Tinubu.... They will kpai poor... Call out your govs and chairmen to get your states ready... Nigeria is on the march to greatness..... The lineage of Noah mockers can't stop it.... Because they are the reason why the Urhobos say... It is better to born a thief than to born a mumu. Proverbs are not for kids...

TINUBU IS QUIETLY DOING WHAT BUILT AMERICA AND CHINA — BUT TRIBALISM WON’T LET NIGERIANS SEE IT Let me say this boldly: Nigeria’s economy will not explode because of Twitter arguments… it will explode because of ROADS, RAIL AND LOGISTICS. That’s exactly what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is aggressively doing — and many Nigerians are too blinded by tribal politics to understand it. My assignment here is to expose you to what is really happening. We love to always see things from tribal lenses so much that we intentionally blind our own eyes from seeing truth in intelligent government actions . 1. America didn’t become rich by randomly doing things— it was INFRASTRUCTURE. In the 1800s, the U.S. economy transformed after the Transcontinental Railroad (1869) connected the East to the West. Cost of transporting goods dropped massively. Oil, agriculture, and manufacturing scaled across states. Trade between regions exploded That’s how America became an economic giant. 2. China’s miracle was built on roads and rail. China didn’t “wish” itself into prosperity. From the 1990s: Built 140,000+ km of expressways. Built the world’s largest high-speed rail network. Result? Lifted over 800 million people out of poverty. Turned villages into industrial hubs. Infrastructure = economic power. Simple. 3. Now look at what Tinubu is doing in Nigeria (THIS IS THE REAL GAME). This is not politics. This is ECONOMIC ENGINEERING. Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway (700km). Connecting Lagos, Ogun, Ondo , Delta , Rivers , Akwa Ibom and Cross River . Started 2024 Creates a coastal economic corridor for oil, ports, tourism, and trade. Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway (1,000km). Links North-West to South-West. Designed to cut logistics costs and boost trade, agriculture, and national integration Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Road (164km+). Critical northern economic artery revived with massive funding injections . Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Maiduguri Corridor. Connecting North-Central to North-East for trade and security . Bodo–Bonny Road (Niger Delta access route). Unlocking oil, gas, and coastal commerce . Lekki Port / Dangote Refinery Evacuation Roads. Built to move products from Africa’s largest refinery (650,000 barrels/day) across Nigeria . 4. It’s not just roads — rail is coming with it. $2.99 BILLION approved for rail projects (Lagos, Kano, Kaduna). Light rail expansion in major cities National rail corridors under study (Calabar–Maiduguri, etc.) . 5. The money being committed is MASSIVE. Over ₦7 TRILLION approved for road projects nationwide . Hundreds of projects under a national infrastructure drive . This is not “small government activity.” This is nation-building scale investment. 6. Why this matters (many Nigerians don’t understand this part). When you connect regions: Food from the North reaches the South cheaper. Ports in the South serve the entire country faster. Businesses expand across states Investors come in. Jobs increase. That’s how economies grow — not by shouting on TV. 7. The uncomfortable truth Nigerians we nor wan hear be sey, If you remove tribal bias and look at DATA: Nigeria is being physically reconnected. Economic corridors are being built. Logistics cost (one of Nigeria’s biggest problems) is being attacked. But many people are still arguing like it’s a football match. Final truth: Visionary infrastructure always looks “crazy” at the beginning. They called early American rail expansion wasteful. They mocked China’s empty highways in the 90s. Today? Those countries dominate the global economy. Nigeria is at that same moment. The real question is not: “Do you like Tinubu?” The real question is: Do you understand what is being built? If Nigerians drop tribalism and start thinking economically, you’ll realize something shocking: This may be the most aggressive attempt to open up Nigeria’s economy in decades.

Uncle Mo, @mkiboneka something funny is happening across Africa, and the Kenyan President is partly at the centre of it. First, when asked to explain why petrol costs more in Kenya even though Kenya supplies the product to Uganda, he said petrol is cheaper in Uganda because Ugandans are poor. This angered Ugandans, who started measuring poverty ratios in both countries [my classmate said there are poor people in Kenya by population numbers than in Uganda] and even called for the disruption of electricity supply, which Uganda supplies to parts of Kenya. Next, the President said Kenyans speak better English than Nigerians, adding that you'd need an interpreter to understand the Nigerian variant of English. Well, Nigerians didn't make much fuss about it, probably because a person whose house is on fire doesn't go about chasing rats. Meanwhile, earlier in April, during his visit to Bayelsa State, President Tinubu told Nigerians to remain grateful despite the country's economic challenges, saying their situation was relatively better than that of other African nations. He specifically mentioned Kenya as an example of a country undergoing significantly greater hardships, and encouraged citizens to appreciate that Nigeria was not facing the same level of difficulty. As for Ghana, it recently summoned South Africa's ambassador after videos of migrant harassment went viral. Ghana was essentially asking how South Africa can act like the big brother of the continent when it can't even keep fellow Africans safe within its own borders. Then there's an older video of South Africa's Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, condemning migrants from neighbouring countries by calling those who flee their nations "cowards," arguing that South Africans stayed behind and fought during Apartheid instead of running away.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote appeared on Channels TV and insisted that Nigeria needs to urgently invest in power infrastructure to achieve true economic independence. In layman terms, he's wailing about lack of electricity. You can be sure of one thing: both the Nigerian government and local investors won't do anything about this call. Then eventually Aliko Dangote will find his way around building power grids that guarantee 24/7 electricity to consumers. Suddenly, you will start seeing all sorts of patriots from Ministry of Power, NLC, TUC, DISCOS, GENCOs, NEPA, PHCN, Nitel, Mtel, Econet, PTF, Celtel and even APC, ADC and PDP coming on air to educate you on the dangers of a monopolist like Dangote! ~ Ibrahiym A.
