We order a new Ford Maverick. Dealer calls and said they got financing approved but it’s a high rate so they recommend we put more down and in the future get approved for the Ford credit line to make things easier. I ask the rate. 12.99% I say let’s pause on the deal and let me make a few calls. 5 mins later the phone rings. They magically got it down to 8.49%. Don’t let these guys try to screw you over.

I seriously need some help here. My neighbor just put up this massive metal fence right along our property line and I’m honestly pretty upset about it. It completely changed the whole feel of my driveway and now it looks like I’m pulling into some kind of industrial corridor. I had no idea this was even happening until the thing was already built. It feels like my space just got boxed in overnight. What on earth can I do in a situation like this???

@mathburn666 @arrington The size is reduced because the sawmill cuts it actually 2” x 4”. Then each side gets sanded down 1/4”. Called s4s. Sanded 4 sides. Quality is the same. Pine is pine, oak is oak, maple is maple

Something I've learned the hard way is that a 2x4 isn't actually 2 inches by 4 inches. It used to be, but not anymore because of course.

@theficouple I never used debt. Started a business with 40k I saved. Grew it into a successful construction company. I have used credit cards but pay off monthly. I have about 850k on stock market plus a paid off house. Millionaire.

Hot take: If you want to be a millionaire you need to use debt. Nobody ever became wealthy without using debt to help make it happen. Prove me wrong.
