@MaxMusing The founders liked your db edit tool and I got to use it too. Was amazing. What I have seen is that early pmf startups try a lot of tools by default. So engineers there get to use them.

one underrated perk of working at a small startup: you can just use whatever tools you want. no procurement process. no submitting a request to IT. no waiting 3 weeks for approval on a $20/mo subscription. you find something good, you throw it on the company card, you start using it today. at big companies the tool stack is handed down from above by people who haven't done your job in years. and you're stuck with it. the best tools win at startups because the people doing the work get to choose them. (this is also why it's so much more fun to sell to startups)
