As much as I trust in De Zerbi to make Tottenham competitive again, there are some major issues with letting him do whatever he wants in a transfer window. Yes the signings of Fernandes, Van Hecke, Sensei and Tonali are incredible but the reports of him wanting to offload: Spence, Bergvall, Gray and Tel are quite concerning. It’s potentially a situation of RDZ not planning to stay at Spurs for a very long time - hence compromising some very talented youngsters. Now, the issue is how explosive RDZ is and certainly not giving him his way can lead to him leaving but the club’s hierarchy has to show more authority. Is it really worth selling your entire future for 2-3 years of Connor Gallagher and Bentancur?
