Canberra is a horrible place. The street graffiti, the tweekers in the street and saw one in Woolworths twitching at the bright lighs in the cosmetic isle. This is a very left city and the left don't like to work hard to get ahead in life. This is very evident here.

@f1_headassery @DreHarrison101 2004 was the biggest change for engines, yes they had to conserve output because you can't win a race if there are huge plumes of smoke coming out of the car. Qualifying was the time to push everything to its limits. Now in 2026 back off and let the battery charge. That's crazy.

Formula 1 has never really been about pushing everything to its limit, it’s just what you want to believe because it makes you feel better about what you’re watching.
RacinSam@RacinSam

@DreHarrison101 What Peter Windsor says makes total sense. The current F1 car is about managing a battery, not pushing to the limit of its performance.

Charles Leclerc? One of 3 best drivers on the grid for the last half decade, who went wheel-to-wheel with the greatest ever for a whole sector last Sunday? I don't think some of these people were watching the same race.

Peter Windsor destroys the new F1 regulations:
🗣️”These regs neutralized the talent of Charles and Max. If you put any one of the greats from the past in these cars, I don't think they'll be able to do anything more than Lindblad or Hadjar." 😳💀 🎥/via @Shay99087

@ThisIsFormu1a1 @Max33Verstappen only likes when he’s winning. He’s an idiot The extremely poor sport & doesn’t like to finish 2nd forget about 6th. Reality. If max worried more about starts he would be ok. He’s passed more cars & one of the strongest cars. He’s just mad he can’t win by 30 sec!

🚨| Piquet Jr: “If Verstappen drove a Mercedes he wouldn't say anything about the rules”: — Nelson Piquet Jr., brother of Max Verstappen's partner, suggested that Verstappen's criticism of the 2026 F1 rules would be different if he had a competitive car. Speaking on the podcast Pelas Pistas, Piquet Jr. remarked: “If you ask Max what his best year in F1 was, he will not answer the one in which he won the last race, but the one in which he won five races to go because if it were up to him he would always like to win and for this reason he needs to have the best car on the grid.” — Piquet Jr. further commented on Verstappen's dissatisfaction with the current F1 regulations, implying that Verstappen's perspective would change if he were driving for Mercedes: “Given the situation it is normal that he speaks ill of the 2026 rules, but if he were behind the wheel of a Mercedes he would shut up like a fly and wouldn't say a word.” — Max Verstappen has been vocal about his discontent with the 2026 F1 cars, likening them to “Formula E cars on steroids.” His remarks have drawn criticism from figures like Gunther Steiner and Ralf Schumacher. — Despite Verstappen's criticisms, other drivers, such as those from Ferrari, have expressed positive experiences with the new cars. Lewis Hamilton, for instance, has described the 2026 cars as providing some of the best racing of his career. #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 #redbullracing 🇦🇹 #mercedesamgf1 🇩🇪 #f12026 VIA: [formulapassion]

@Planet_F1 Should we ignore that Juan's son Sebastian is in the RedBull program in F2 right now and with MV leaving opens a position for his son to enter F1 next year? Surely this cannot be a coincidence.

it's Holly! 🏳️‍🌈
A man was killed by a "coward punch" by another man in Australia and "One-Punch" laws were created overnight. Meanwhile one women gets killed by their partner every eight days and there's still "nothing we can do about it".
Helen S Fields@Helen_Fields

Absolutely sick to death of hearing about how the new @louistheroux documentary has made people think about attitudes to women. Lots of MPs jumping on the bandwagon. I mean, no disrespect to Louis - I’m grateful for the highlight - but for God’s sake… Women get killed by their partner every week. Tiny Man Tate has been a thing for years. Domestic violence shelters are overwhelmed. Women have been waving the red flags about incels and attitudes for years. We’ve been begging for change. We’ve been highlighting the serious threat of anti-women social media. Then a MAN makes a documentary and suddenly everyone’s interested? Do you not all think that this might be part of the problem?

This doesn’t look like much, but it changes everything. What you’re looking at is an evpzee lamppost charger. It is the smartest solution to one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption. A standard street lamp, quietly turned into an EV charger. No digging up roads, it is installed in just 30 minutes. No huge infrastructure projects, a full street can be electrified in a matter of hours. Manufactured and assembled in the UK and fully OCPP. Using what’s already there. For millions of people across the UK, especially those without driveways, this is the difference between “I can’t have an EV” and “actually…I can.” It’s easy to overlook innovations like this because they’re not flashy. No 350kW ultra-rapid chargers. No massive charging hubs. Just practical, scalable, everyday infrastructure doing exactly what it needs to do. And that’s the point. The EV transition will be be driven by everyone having the ability to charge when they need to. Simple. Effective.
