@Derailious Initially, yea. But the project got sidelined pretty quickly as designers/builders/engineers got reprioitized onto other projects. I think another designer + dev took a swing at it for a couple of weeks in 2021 but there was some turnover so it didn't go very far.

To clarify, it would require a LOT less money to get to something that could be released in « Very Early Access » with temporarily removed features. We could just get the community involved ASAP in modding / bug reports / feature requests / crowdfunding and find ways to use Shared Source and Open Source with cash bounties to speed up production and keep team relatively small. Guys, please, this is important, keep your expectations extremely low because usually when large companies shutdown a project like this the chances of revival are next to impossible. Yes, I made the decision, I will give my best to save Hytale. Even if it’s 1% chance. Its the least I can do to the same community that gave me the opportunity to be where I am today. I will reach out, however remember it will take a while, give it some time. It will take months to get answers and months to get done. I will share as much as possible as I go through the process. 🫡

Hi @Simon_Hypixel, I think I speak for the entire Hytale community when I say that Hytale can't be canceled. It was a game with infinite potential. Wouldn't there be any possibility that, together with Riot, you could partner with the former team to revive the legacy engine?

@v1dd_1 @ThirtyVirus @ixnoahlive More importantly, i think testing in a group of that size doesnt test updates at scale. Two updates that i can think of (crimson ilse and crystal hollows) didnt show any issues when tested in small groups but once we opened it to alpha we saw major performance issues.

@v1dd_1 @ThirtyVirus @ixnoahlive I don't think NDAs are feasible as i dont think theres a way to easily track breaches of them. IRL trading is a real issue and my guess is that that there will always be atleast one bad actor who will try to sell or use the sensitive information for their own gain

Good, now show us NOTHING on the alpha server and let us actually experience the update for the first time on our own profiles

@ThirtyVirus @ixnoahlive I mean one of the main usecases of alpha is to fix bugs with the new content. Every time we released a update without going alpha first there was massive issues. It sucks for hype but imo its way better for game stability.

@Minikloon - clientside anticheat - java / bedrock crossplay - adjustable TPS - automatically install clientside mods if a server requests them - optimize the backend for client and server performance - improve the account security / recovery process and customer support in general

@Nitroholic_ Yea this was something that was severely missing. Theres a lot of cool ways i think you will be able to play with this. Excited to see what you come up with!

The most recent snapshot from Mojang with the generic attribute changes is very exciting. Its something I have wished was available in the client for some time. Its exciting to see the direction that snapshots have been going in for the last couple updates with tech changes.
