Bloodsport (1988) sells itself as a true story even if the Frank Dux claims are questionable, but it works on sheer presence. Van Damme, the Kumite setting & that final fight carry the whole thing. It’s rough around the edges and still completely watchable.

@Shinich08413513 It's just like anything, if it's more casual it'll be more popular. If it doesn't really sound like anything else out there, it'll be limited. But no doubt Alice in Chains was the more musically talented and interesting band.

Alice In Chains is more appealing and heavier than anything Nirvana Did. I never understood why Nirvana became much more popular and seen as the best in the grunge genre when Alice In Chains Did everything Nirvana but 100 times better.

DLSS 5 has changed the lens that I see games with. Since yesterday, I can't help but think how much better every game I play would look in DLSS 5 All of them. Stellar Blade Madden Last of us Forza Horizon Space Marine 2 Call of Duty List goes on....Anyone else?

No one today is stopping this and no one under 6’10 would dare guard him straight up. He would be the most dominant in the game today as he was against the best centers back then. Avg 30 and 15 and get his team to the bonus in the quickest time in the history of the game.

@JamesResEvil Not in a modern RE game but Silent Hill 2 Remake had great puzzles.

They really don’t do puzzles like this anymore. There is 6 potential outcomes to this puzzle and its changed every time you start a new game. Re3 and the rng system was so ahead of its time. Its no wonder why SIGNALIS drew heavy inspiration from it 🙏🏻

@xboxBG GTA 6 is gonna be pretty insane if it gets this. I wonder if that's why they pushed back the date? Internally they knew that this would be available some time this year. It's just too bad we probably won't see this kind of capability on consoles until the PS6.

Great article by @ryanshrout. Technical artists love DLSS 5 because it helps them achieve their intended look and they are no longer constrained by limitations that have held them back in the past.

@Genki_JPN @synaesthesiajp It's the first iteration though so obviously it'll go through tweaks. And it has a slider and an on/off so the you can choose just how much effect you get. I really don't see an issue. Especially considering every game shown had the support of their developers.

@synaesthesiajp People's eyes are naturally drawn to the face first so its kinda hard to ignore it. Faces look very bad imo.

Great article on what DLSS 5 is actually doing. I know everyone is looking at faces, but look at the leather jacket. Look at the correct lighting on the neck. Look at the light diffusion in the hair (which is VERY hard to do right with strand hair techniques). This is awesome.

@NikTek Hate to tell you but a PS6 PSSR most likely ships with a form of this on day 1.

It all started with fake frames, now its evolving onto fake graphics? Imagine if FSR, XeSS and PSSR started embracing this kind of upscaling. In the same game, you will have different looking outputs for every different upscaler because these AI models wont be trained on the same data. Grace in this case here, will look different on an Nvidia GPU using DLSS 5, she will look different using FSR, PSSR or XeSS. You get the point I don't why but I always felt that DLSS was always supposed to provide only one thing, give gamers a better framerate while retaining the same image quality as native resolution. I don't want a randomized output for a character's face that I won't recognize if I turn on DLSS 5 even if my framerate triples. Nvidia and all the game studios embracing this AI slop should take a step back in my opinion because this is not it, even if it is years away.
