Introducing Retune Vibe coding is fun but it's so annoying to prompt Claude Code for specific UI changes. I just want the tools I'm familiar with as a designer to tune the UI just how I want it. Retune lets you do just that. Select any element in your running app, tweak it visually, and your AI coding tool writes the change to source. Like DevTools, but the changes stick. @benjitaylor's Agentation and @joshpuckett DialKit were huge inspirations for tools that greatly improved different parts of my workflow as a designer leveraging AI tools to prototype. Hopefully, Retune is useful to some who would much rather tweak the UI themselves than prompt the change. Check it out here: retune.dev Github: github.com/khadgi-sujan/r…

Browsers have developer tools. They need designer tools, too. Would be cool if someone made a browser plugin to visually manipulate the DOM with familiar handles. Waiting for that a ha “Firebug” moment. Agentation from @benjitaylor is a great first approach at this.

Gave a pitch for @tryhemo last weekend at @NucleateHQ's Texas House @ SXSW 2026. Had a blast, and was honored to speak alongside a host of smart people building in biotech!

v0.5.1 of retune.dev is available with a handful of improvements that should make it more useful. A couple of good ones: - CSS variable support so you can apply your tokens/variables instead of raw values. - Better target scoping to help you choose how broadly your changes should apply. - Individual change indicators so you can reset changes you've made at a property level. - A Retune skill that guides your agents to resolve tokens, classes, and variables when applying changes. - Local fonts support Lots of bugs squashed and minor UI improvements and changes.

Worth noting that retune.dev was designed fully with Claude Code + Retune itself! This was the first version that Claude Code and I'm happy I was able to make a pretty decent improvement using the very tool I am making. I only used Figma for the logo design and some icon work. Wallpaper is a "Meadow" by Alfred Sisley which is in the public domain. Used Nano Banana to create a night time version of it for dark mode.

Gave the retune.dev site a little face lift. It's still largely a very simple site but there are some details that were added just for fun. There's a bunch of updates I'm working on for Retune which will make it even more useful. Stay tuned!

For my job, we've started working in shared repos to be able to work on things together and also benefitting from what exists in production. For side projects, I'll still use v0 for quick ideas that I will have to see what it would be like since its easy to get something set up fast but if I want to work on something for iOS or a browser extension, I find myself doing stuff like that on Claude Code. The credits run out fast and I'm unable to justify a getting more credits if I can't pursue any creative idea I may have for whatever platform I might be thinking of.

if you're a designer, same questions. have you used @v0? If not, what tools are you reaching for? I will say, I still go back and forth between v0 and others for my own work, but there are some things that v0 handles that make the work incredibly faster. as @iamsahaj_xyz said, be brutally honest.
Sahaj@iamsahaj_xyz

if you're a dev, and you're building a website, and you're not using v0, why? be brutally honest, I'll reply to every piece of feedback and share it internally as well

Where do you get your design inspo from? Is there a site like awwwards that isn't just HUGE PHOTO + text + scroll jacking? Like sites that have to do things?

When you install retune, it should also configure the MCP server for you and you can tell Claude Code to check for pending changes. If the MCP hasn't been set up, you can ask Claude Code to also configure that (the docs include instructions). You'll have to restart your chat session after which you can make changes (you might need to refresh your browser too for the MCP bridge to connect) and then start tweaking. If for some reason the MCP isn't working. You can also click the copy icon to copy the diffs to your clipboard and paste directly to Claude Code and that will work too. Currently copy pasting doesn't clear the pending changes marker in the Retune toolbar but that will be fixed in upcoming releases.

This is a nice complement to @joshpuckett DialKit and @benjitaylor Agentation. it’s such an unlock to be able to tweak vibe coded output without prompting. my vibe coding Infinity Gauntlet keeps expanding, can’t wait to share what i’m working on with these great tools 🌶️

@m0recilantr0 v cool! Retune also still provides the option to copy the diffs that you can paste manually for your agent in case the MCP wasn't working for some reason or you wanted to not use the MCP at all!

@___sujan Nice. I built something that does the same thing, only it gives you a prompt for the changes instead of using mcp

@justinmfarrugia @benjitaylor @joshpuckett @0xDesigner I just made something to help designers fine tune their UI. Mind taking it for a spin? x.com/___sujan/statu…

It's a toolbar that shows up on your app in your dev environment so you can click to select elements and make changes using the visual editor. Your coding agent can then pick up the change requests using the accompanying MCP server and make those changes in your codebase directly!

Finally refreshed my personal website with a bit of help from Claude. As usual, added a feature nobody asked for, page customization. You can change colors and fonts, switch it to 3D, and of course you make the logo bigger
