I continue to be awe struck by the flagella because a) it is such a complex machine that is fascinatingly similar to mechanical motors, b) it demonstrates the power of evolution, a series of random mutations and natural selection. Check out this new work from Singh et al.

Blown away by @joeBondyDenomy ‘s work on the ‘Phage that wants to be a eukaryote’. Love the paradigm changing idea of prokaryotic nuclei. Along with other work on cytoplasmic compartments in bacteria, it’s clear that prokaryotes are not just a bag of biomolecules.

I was born and raised in a rural community in Oaxaca, Mexico. I was a child with no dreams because I knew I couldn't dream. 🥹
One day someone told me that I could be a scientist too.
My goal is to provide resources for those who have dreams!

NPR reports 350 mass shootings (including 4 this weekend) and 21,000 deaths already this year. The dichotomy of supporting cutting edge medicine to save lives while losing lives to problems with simple solutions (gun reform) thwarted by politics makes no sense!
