@noio_games Could just be something simple like unblocking a passageway behind the logs 🤔

@andreintg @_Undergroundies @castpixel You didn't give any context, but sure, specific use cases I agree it can make sense. Using it as a fancy auto complete is a nice time saver. Using an agent to write entire files is way above the abstraction of any visual code editor. I assumed we were talking about the latter.
English

@_saminton @_Undergroundies @castpixel I don't know how you formed this opinion but I suspect you've mostly seen idiots around here saying they vibe coded an entire game with a prompt.
I use it for algos.
AI for coding is just like any other abstraction. The higher you take it, the less personal the result will be.
English

@andreintg @_Undergroundies @castpixel Bad argument 🤦. Visual coding requires you still learn concepts. With that logic you could say why use an engine when you can code one yourself. Every project skips some corners, you can't do/know everything. AI on the other hand let's you skip every corner...
English

@_Undergroundies @castpixel is someone using visual programming lazy because they did't learn how to write code? Or does it only apply to AI? asking for a friend 🫣

@atmoio I'd love to believe that things can be just like in the world of guitar pedals. You have huge companies pumping out basic but still good pedals. But there's also a market of hand crafted stuff that people are willing to buy at a premium. I just don't see it happening with code...
English

@marcokueks @theo @atmoio Likely the same feeling yes, but not the same outcome. A painting and a photo are two different things allowing them to coexist. Here the output IS the same. What is the point of coding by hand when you can get the same result 20x faster ?
English

@_saminton Didn't thought about it so I had to check for some time 😹
Brekekekex and No Vacation For An Executioner are definitely top contenders.
(Also Sword Hero, but it doesn't feel even feel "indie" anymore scale-wise)

@_saminton Top 3 of Indie Games I'm most hyped for that I saw on X. The atmosphere looks incredible.

@thomasbrushdev My favorite Next Fest demo is Holstin: store.steampowered.com/app/2235430/Ho…
Awesome old school Bureau 13 (old game) vibe, great atmosphere and dialogue.. just really hit the nostalgic spot for me. @exQUIZitely you might like it...
English

@hinrichbo @thomaspaulmann @farsn_ @sawyerhood @glazeapp Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose when anyone can prompt what you've built themselves 🤔
English

i gotta see if you can vibe code wisprflow in this
Thomas Paul Mann@thomaspaulmann
I built myself an app to help me write the announcement for Glaze. 🔐 Content lives on my computer ✨ Uses AI to provide suggestions 🧠 Knows about Glaze and Raycast ✍️ Writes in my style 100% built with @glazeapp! Blog post 👉 raycast.com/blog/introduci…

@KenneyNL @PixelGhaith The main gripe I had with unity was the amount of times I'd start using a feature only to run into a bug and find it's no longer maintained, with no other solution than building it myself or using a paid solution from the store.
English

@PixelGhaith They are. A few things that frustrated me;
- Confusing, lots of settings everywhere
- Didn't really notice any improvement in performance at all
- Different versions, some methods were deprecated or replaced already, again, confusing
English

Wasn't expecting this to make such a big difference, subsurface scattering looks too good 😮 #screenshotsaturday #GodotEngine
