Dec 27, 2021: 16-year-old Kyng Demond Smith was charged in the shooting murder of 13-year-old Lamar “Bam” Norman, III outside Savanna Landing apartments (61st & Peoria). It was a gang-related shooting. Smith was charged as an adult in Tulsa County. 💥The adult charges were dropped because Smith is a Muskogee Creek Nation tribal member. The case was transferred to federal/tribal court and handled as a juvenile. FBI was involved. Fast-forward to July 2026: Kyng Demond Smith is charged with Accessory to 2nd Degree Murder + Possessing a Firearm AFCF in the Hicks Park shooting/murder. He has a prior federal (because he's tribal) robbery conviction. @TulsaPolice, Tulsa DA’s Office, @NewsOn6, @KJRH2HD, @KTULNews, @Fox23, @KRMGTulsa, @MuscogeeNation, @USMarshalsHQ, and @FBI all touched these cases. ICE just arrested Mario Martin Ramos-Ramos from El Salvador. He came here illegally in 2014 through the Texas border. He received a final order of removal in 2018.
