Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40: Option A: Single. No kids. $10M net worth. Travel anywhere. Total freedom. Quiet house. Quiet holidays. Option B: Married. 3 kids. $1M net worth. Drive a Toyota. Chaos every morning. Loud house. Full dinner table. Be honest, which life are you choosing?

@big_business_ You don't remember their free throws because they didn't made that many. Simple as that. It does matter how you get there because people watched it on the TV

Giannis Antetokounmpo on Bam Adebayo's 83 point game: "It doesn't matter how you get there. All that matters is that you got it. Like in 30 years from now, nobody's going to remember how many free throws he shot. I don't think I remember how many shots Kobe had or how many free throws he made or threes. All you remember is 81. Wilt, 100. You don't remember how they scored. So, at the end of the day, he got 83 points."

@dani_avila7 Question: why doesn't it do all these at the start? Just like a human that needs to see the final stage before cleaning up?

Claude Code 2.1.63 dropped with a new built-in command: /simplify It reviews your changed code for three things: - Reuse opportunities (duplicated logic, extractable patterns) - Code quality (readability, naming, structure) - Efficiency (unnecessary complexity, redundant operations) Then it actually fixes what it finds. Not just suggestions, it edits. How to use it: 1. Make your code changes as usual 2. Run /simplify 3. It analyzes your diff, finds issues, and applies fixes In the video I ran it after finishing a PR review and noticed it spawned 3 parallel agents using Haiku 4.5 to do the analysis... fast and cheap Try it out 👇

An engineer at Anthropic wrote a spec, pointed Claude at an Asana board, and went home. Claude broke the spec into tickets, spawned agents for each one, and they started building independently. When the agent is confused it runs git-blame and messages the right engineers in Slack. By Monday the agents finished the plugin feature. That's one example of how the best engineers are shipping software right now. Developers will soon orchestrate 50 AI agents in parallel and the difference between a good engineer & a great one would come down to specs. You can't write a spec that holds up at that scale without genuinely understanding what you're building at a deeper level. The next-gen developer who understands the fundamentals, can architect well and orchestrate agent is going to be a 1000x developer!

@RyanCarniato Not sure if TDD works that well if you wanna build something from ground up with AI. It's quite useful if you wanna do a big refactor like library migration where you can ask AI to generate tests first as guardrails then do the migration.

I never thought this day would come. Thanks to AI, we've hit the inversion point where TDD is something that actually saves time instead of wastes time. What a world we live in.

10x productivity tip: use Claude hooks with sounds so Claude alerts you when it finishes a task or needs permission. But that's not the tip, the tip is to add your favourite childhood game sounds like the Starcraft, Warcraft, or even Mario.

@butterpecanbang @ohnohedidnt24 It also depends on the value of those picks right. Warriors will be rubbish without any stars so their picks will be more valuable than the picks from OKC and HOU

Regardless who gets him I’m really intrigued by what his price may be. Desmond Bane went for 4 unprotected FRPs and a FRP swap. Out of the teams being reported the warriors are considered favorites because of their picks but even they can only offer 4 unprotected FRPs and three FRP swaps. They’d add in a player package but it wouldn’t be anything to get overly excited about. I honestly have a tough time believing Giannis and Desmond Bane go for the same amount of unprotected FRPs. I’m honestly kind of surprised teams like OKC and HOU haven’t been more in the mix because of all the draft capital they own + their talent. If either one of those teams decided to enter the stakes the warriors or heat wouldn’t stand a chance offer wise

@KellyCateRoss @timkawakami Exactly opposite. They can beat teams way above them (spurs / nuggests) and can also lose to teams way below them (blazers/ pacers). They need a second scorer, preferably in a wing position to help offense to be more stable and Kerr doesn't need to play 4G lineup anymore.

@timkawakami Dubs are medium. They barely beat teams below them and can’t beat teams above them. Are you going to ask questions about Kerr ? It’s obvious his 4G lineups are revealing his stupidity Year after year

Warriors now have 18 wins and are the 8 seed. Current 4-7 seeds all have between 19 and 21 wins. GSWs also have 16 losses, much more than 4-7 seeds -- they've played more and blown more games than this group. Point is, if GSWs keep this steady, there are potential teams to pass
Danny Emerman@DannyEmerman

Awesome Draymond Green game today. 10 pts, 12 ast, 8 rebs quarterbacking the offense. +18 in 132-125 win over Charlotte. Strong close to a rough month for him. Reports of his washedness were premature. GSW won 5 of 6 to close 2025. 18-16, 8th in West. 8-11 in clutch games.

Pretty clear to me that "product-minded engineer" will soon be the most in-demand job across software. It will imply using AI tools (of course.) It also means devs with agency to build whatever moves the needle for the business, and helps reach goals (whether it's customers, fundraising etc)

@wp_acf Is it possible NOT to collapse my ACF fields when saving changes? I am editing flexible content and every time I click Save Changes and all my fields are collapsed and I need to open it again, not feeling great.

@wp_acf Something might worth exploring: Using MCP server to connect Figma and translate the design into ACF fields. This is to help minimise the interaction from the UI because the operations in the UI has many back and forth.

Two ways to write a test: 1. DRY: reference const that’s used in code 2. Repeat: repeat value that’s used in code Which do you prefer, and why?
