@HighwaysWMIDS Is traffic still allowed to drive down M6 to j 14 so the queue is never ending ? We are stranded here at Stafford services and those poor people trapped in cars !

Been stuck at #StaffordServices for 3 hours since M6 south closed. No emergency exit here for us or staff. No method for getting traffic moving towards J14 🤷🏻‍♀️ @HighwaysWMIDS ??

In all my 33 years of driving I have never known a traffic queue like this on the M6! Done 3 miles in a little over 2 hours and still another 1.5 miles to the junction where everybody has to get off.

@HighwaysWMIDS @HolderSuzan you need to tell people to start filtering down earlier, i’m sat in the first lane and any movement is just people moving over to the other side thinking it’s clear

@HolderSuzan Hello. This is the view from the slip from the services onto the motorway. Unfortunately it's still pretty stationary from there until J14 and the situation isn't likely to improve.

The #M6 in #Staffordshire is CLOSED southbound between J14 (#Stafford) and J13 (#Dunston) due to a serious multi-vehicle collision which has resulted in a significant fuel spillage. All emergency services are in attendance. More information to follow shortly.
