@Serenitee_Sam I never seen anyone better personify a corporate IVR system. Whats crazy is that a well trained AI agent with the right tool access would have been percieved as far more empathetic and helpful in assisting them in solving the problem and likely would have actually solved it.

It’s a masterclass in modern corporate compliance: a third-party booking system makes a glaring mistake, but the system doesn’t care about nuance. It only cares about data. The hotel is fully booked. A father is processing the reality that a family of four is expected to share a single king bed, despite a phone screen proving they reserved otherwise. The employee is stuck inside a procedural loop, holding a printout from a third-party site like it’s a legal shield, unable to offer anything but an ultimatum: take it or leave. Then comes the breaking point. A bystander attempts to step in to apply basic human logic, but logic has no jurisdiction here. High stress leads to bad tempers, respect goes out the window, and the reservation is canceled altogether. This is the state of hospitality in a fully automated world. Frontline workers are trapped with no actual power to problem-solve, customers are entirely on their own when technology fails, and third-party sites hide behind fine print while people sleep in their cars. Who is actually at fault when the system breaks like this? Is it the customer for losing their cool, the employee for refusing to budge, or the broken corporate infrastructure that forced them into this standoff?

Let me break this down for you Last week @NickKristof wrote an article alleging that Israel was systematically raping Palestinians The primary source was Euro-Med Which was founded and is chaired by Ramy Abdu Who is allegedly standing next to Ismail Haniyeh in this photo (Hamas' former leader) Dear the @nytimes you have some explaining to do And I hope @Israel goes forward with its lawsuit The article was a blood libel
Eitan Fischberger@EFischberger

Buried in this important article is a wild photo whose ramifications I'm not sure people fully appreciate. Do you know who that is, "presenting" CODEPINK's Medea Benjamin to Ismail Haniyeh? I'm 99% sure it's Ramy Abdu — founder, Director, and Chairman of Euro-Med

A few years ago, I tried to help out a family member who was having trouble, alternating between renting and homelessness. He had a job, and I told him I’d help him with his finances. When we met up, he was wearing a new pair of Jordans. When I delved into his spending, I found he was renting all his furniture, his TV, and a video game system from Rent-A-Center. He ate fast food every day. I explained to him why that was such a bad idea. I told him how I get most of my furniture from Goodwill and garage sales. Told him rich people don’t wear new Jordans. I even showed him how much his money would be worth in 30 years if he invested the money he was giving to Rent-A-Center. His response? “Sorry, I need nice furniture and I need to look good.” These are the people blaming the rich for their problems.

Israeli Minister of National SecurityBen Gvir is under fire, both domestically and internationally, over a video showing him visiting a detention center where the Gaza Freedom Flotilla members were being held and processed. The video shows him arguing with detainees while also seemingly smiling at the rough handling of many of the detainees. World leaders and decision-makers from nations around the globe, including Italy, the U.S., Qatar, the Netherlands, and others have condemned the video and Minister Gvir himself. Additionally, a number of nations have summoned the Israeli ambassadors in their respective countries over the treatment of flotilla members from their countries.

@HenMazzig Actually, it very much matters that they violated the naval blockade. Let’s be real.

Performative activism, meet performative justice. Ben Gvir just handed the flotilla exactly what they came for. A clip of a cruel Israeli minister to wave around. It doesn’t matter that they broke a naval blockade after repeated warnings. It doesn’t matter that Israel offered to deliver the symbolic “aid” on board to Gazans itself. The IDF did incredible job to stop them without provocations and arrange for their departure. But then Ben Gvir came along, the guy who didn’t serve a day in the army. Most people will only see this clip of a minister delighting in use of force and humiliation on camera. Ben Gvir and the flotilla deserve each other. Both perform justice. Both peddle hate. But neither Israelis nor Palestinians deserve either.

Every taxpayer needs to read this DoJ produced document that signs off on this unprecedented “settlement.” Just stunning how the political appointees at DoJ conspired with Trump to create this $1.7B slush fund which literally can be used to pay anyone Trump desires. justice.gov/opa/media/1441…
