@ES4613424423 To play devils advocate if you’re looking to rank a monster overall strength. Looking at specific TW can give you bad data due to stylistic match ups. Example we know Mitzu is the same tier as Rath & Lagi despite her performing significantly worse against Uth than the later two.

@ES4613424423 These are very different things.. Arkveld is the games flagship that was already pre-established in the trailers & story. You already get to fight and kill this version of Arkveld in the demo, whereas Bazelgeuse was literally a hidden monster made to surprise you

Excellent World detail: When you step into HR, even as early as Pukei, there is every chance Bazelgeuse will come and kick your ass.

@HuleHulale @Bluecoolicious @ReturnTower I don't find the main crux of Wilds story to be terrible though, because Nata & Arkveld make sense when you are not undermining them because of a horrible dub or blatant misinterpretation. And I think Wilds did a better job then 5th generation at exploring its world & people.

@aShadowDragon @Bluecoolicious @ReturnTower When I called it the worst narrative in games I've played, I meant among games that have a large focus on story, like Wilds does. Other Monster Hunters don't, like World and Rise had a shit story as well but it was easy to ignore, unlike Wilds

The only glaring flaw with the narrative is Nata's english voice actor.

Braindead mechanic, made it possible to do a 360 TCS without having to worry about missing your attacks, removing positioning and timing your attacks.

@aShadowDragon @Oceaniz96 The monsters feel kind of arbitrary or the environment doesn't actually matter that much to the monsters. Ajarakan utilizes Oilwell really well which is why I singled it out, but the only other exceptions are the apexes and like, maybe Hirabami.

Yeah I replayed some World over this weekend and I don't think I can avoid it any longer: animal mounts were broadly a miss-step for the series imo, the act of traversing these maps is so integral to the precise flavor of MH
