These movies are a big deal for me—I was *obsessed* with Raimi’s Spider-Man when I was growing up, but my one criticism was that I hated how it always looked like he was actually physically standing in the real-world location at which he was supposedly present.

Subsurface scattering of light on skin and the way light interacts with hair and fabric are hard to get right. This is what DLSS 5 aims to fix. It uses the game's color & motion vectors for each frame, and devs will have full control over intensity, color grading, and masking.

DLSS5 looks vastly better than 95% of developers original art on average systems. This is because
a.) lots of people don’t have access to the best hardware
b.) most developers fucking suck now and their character models look like trash.
