The wave is here but what’s wrong with this, and the OpenAI JV, and the anthropic one Is DEEEEEP vendor lock. You do not want to be stuck using one companies models forever at this point I like to say we are model agnostic when it comes to client work We use what is best and can be changed I’m also convinced that in the future, many companies will be using local models at much more affordable rates If you’re looking to get your company AI native without being locked into one vendor forever We’re here to help

Peter Borque is not good enough for that type of money. We found our true target in Mr 🪵. Will is a underated QB and has lots of potential. Let’s make him a Nittany Lion! #weare

@TornadoMark22 @islanders_takes This is my point. Nonetheless, I am skeptical just like @islanders_takes was but am optimistic and hopeful too. Ultimately he has to use his physical tools to be a reliable defensemen first because the hitting and the OHL scoring may not matter in the NHL.

@islanders_takes @aar0ncpa He is 345 days older than Schaefer in same draft….about 35-45 D+1/D+2 guys that in past years would be top of the line up guys in OHL are playing NCAA…..so the offensive stats may be a bit inflated……and the 16-17 year olds are not able to physically handle Aitcheson.

I watch a ton of OHL hockey. Nearly as much as I watch the NHL. I have friends still buried in organizations, coaching, in the offices. I hear stories about these kids. And I'm telling you that nothing has changed my mind on a player as much as the stories I've been told about Aitcheson. I was lukewarm on him. I said the pick was good value but I saw him as a giant project in a draft that wasn't renown for its depth. But I was told things about Aitcheson. And when you watch the Barrie Colts this year - you can see what I've been told happening in real time. I've been told repeatedly that this kid is a leader everywhere on that squad. Off ice, on ice, in the gym. I've been told that his intensity, his snarl, has infected that squad and those kids look up to him. The Colts up and down the roster are extremely physical. They contest every puck, every pass, every inch of the wall. I still believe they are far from the most talented team but they are swarming KIT all over the place and just punishing them all over. Two years ago and this team was a losing squad. The transformation has been effort first all the way. Aitcheson is visbly a huge, huge part of that.

We’re so fucked. The #isles could have had 3 first round picks, & 15 extra million in cap space if they just flipped Lee @ the deadline and not bothered w Palat & Schenn.

@stefen_rosner I’m not sure how Darche can be watching these playoffs and think we don’t need a 1-2 year retool to get younger and faster. Look at all the young teams advancing to 2nd round. Still dumbfounded at trading future assets and resigning pageau.

Right now, Kashawn Aitcheson is dominating juniors the way a top prospect should, but as we all know, the NHL is a whole different animal. The biggest question mark for him is still his skating. He’s improved, but the feet can get a little wide in transition and his mobility will be tested. Gap control, decision making under pressure, and staying disciplined is what separates good junior D from reliable NHLers. When he finally does turn pro, he’s going to take his lumps, high PIMs in juniors have shown that. Pro hockey will force him to channel his snarl without the extra (sometimes boneheaded) penalties. With that said, I wanted to put together a realistic timeline and set tempered expectations for him over the next few seasons. 2026-27: He’s in Hamilton full time. Expect him to log big minutes on the power play, keep producing points at a solid clip (maybe the 30-45 range) and up the physicality that makes fans love him. Defensively, he’ll tighten up with pro coaching, but there will be nights where the game will look too fast and he’s going to get caught. Maybe he’ll get a couple of NHL call ups for injuries, but he’s not forcing his way into the lineup yet. Next season is all about development. 2027-28: I think he could still be splitting time between Hamilton and the #Isles, or he could earn a bottom pair role right away depending on how the blueline shakes out. By the end of this year, I’d expect him to be a regular NHL contributor. 2028-29: My expectation is that he’s now a full time NHLer logging heavy minutes, killing penalties, and giving us roughly 30-40 points, with a ton of hits and blocks. This isn’t a guy who steps in and runs the power play as a rookie, this isn’t Schaefer. No one is. Aitcheson’s path should be a patient one. The Islanders didn’t draft him to rush him, they drafted him to be a long term piece of the future. When it clicks, I think he’s going to be exactly the kind of nasty, productive defenseman we dream of. Just don’t expect it overnight. Development like this rewards patience.

@IslesCave MDC dominated the OHL too. Kash has to develop and into a complete 2 way defender. We know his shot is good but it only tells us so much at this level.

Im so curious about Aitcheson. Absolute gamer but I’m sure his style of play will be forced to change a bit as he moves to the AHL next year. Just can’t be chasing open ice hits. I think his skating is better than he gets credit for. Pumped to see him in the AHL. #Isles

HE DID IT AGAIN! HE CAN’T BE STOPPED! With that goal, Kashawn Aitcheson just passed Aaron Ekblad for the most playoff goals by a defenseman in Barrie Colts franchise history. Wow. #Isles

Final thoughts after B-#Isles 2-0 L to Hershey: - Bridgeport was the better team - Think Ritchie needs to readjust from NHL - Team collectively needs to find a way to get to dirty areas more - You could tell it was first taste of playoffs for a lot of these guys
