I also must say that it's a bit rich that Trump and his DOJ think it's a good idea to gin up a bullshit investigation about supposed illegalities in ... {checks notes} … renovating a federal building

Wrong. The DNC announced an open process. A number of elected Democrats have chosen to endorse Kamala Harris as part of that process. Other potential Democratic candidates can easily decide to challenge her, and she just said her intention is to earn and win this nomination.
Olivia Nuzzi@Olivianuzzi

The Democratic Party told its voters that they could not be trusted to select a nominee when they effectively shut down their primary process. Now, they are installing a new nominee. American voters happen to like democracy. I predict some backlash.

Before she became Barack Obama's mother at the age of 18, Ann Dunham was a high school student described by her friends as "intellectually way more mature than we were and a little bit ahead of her time, in an off-center way" and "the original feminist." Dunham was twice married by the time she was 23, but she never let her personal life get in the way of her career as an anthropologist. She moved from Honolulu to Jakarta in 1967 — bringing along a six-year-old Barack Obama — and she began what would become a lifelong study of rural blacksmithing traditions in Indonesia. Thanks to her groundbreaking work in the developing world, she was able to show that much of the rural poverty in the region was due to a lack of resources, rather than cultural differences with the West, which was the prevailing theory at the time. And at one point, she pioneered a microfinance system that focused on providing savings and a small amount of credit to rural women that eventually grew into the largest system of its kind in the world.

It's official: I'm running for Congress in #NY01 because there's too much at stake for the country & community I love. Long Island families deserve someone who fights for their values, not Trump's. It's time for us all to get off the sidelines. Join Me. secure.actblue.com/donate/avlon-d…

To the people attacking Biden because he walks slowly, it has nothing to do with his mental wellbeing. “Biden has significant spinal arthritis” and “the impact of a broken foot and neuropathy in his feet has changed how he walks,” according to his Doctor, Dr. O’Connor. Note that FDR was confined to a wheelchair and is considered one of the best presidents in modern history.

@NeurologistMom I don’t tend give advice online, but look into thiamine deficiency. It can be frank or functional and is quite common post Covid. Given it’s role in energy metabolism and mitochondrial function, when inadequate, all sorts of devastating symptoms.

- My daughter learned how to read at 2 years old. - At 6, she was accepted into a prestigious conservatory for piano as the most talented applicant. - She played complex pieces by Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and others with ease from a young age. - When they tested her, her IQ score was above 150. - She was also a gifted artist and had her first art show at 7 years old (You can see one of her artworks from when she was 9 years old). - As a middle schooler, she excelled academically and was on track to complete all algebra and geometry classes with straight A's. -She wanted to become a neuroscientist like her parents. - Unfortunately, she is now living in agony with unbearable pain day and night due to neuroCOVID/long COVID/MECFS. - It's heartbreaking to see America lose so many children, including some of its brightest minds, for seemingly no reason. We need more research, more effort, and a greater commitment to saving our children and securing the future #longcovidchildren #longcovid #mecfs #pwme

Wondering whether any ME charities or research projects need help with volunteer data analysis work 👨‍💻 I have contacts in the data science/analytical world, and might be able to coordinate. But want to gauge demand! Please share if helpful 🙏 #MECFS #pwME #LongCovid
