We shouldn’t have either - it’s unnecessary for a country who can print money at will collect ANY tax.
But make sense of this… a 70 year old owns a home today valued at $2M - they bought the home 30 years ago for $50,000, maintained the house for 30 years and finally paid the house off - why should they pay any property taxes much less on an increased value of $2M required in most states? And if you can justify that then you understand you open the door for the state to collect taxes on all property; boats, cars, clothes, art, retirement accounts - everything. You either a communist or you’re confused. Not uncommon for academics …

@Wendys ceo, closing under-performing stores will not fix your problems. Proper staff, training and a focus on customer service would get the job done. All 3 are lacking in the majority of stores I visit. Go visit some stores as a customer without an entourage and you will see.

I’d like to double and triple check my work before I post, but according to my data from the car here it looks like Floyd county jumped from 371 speeding tickets to 4,449. And Harrison jumped from a few hundred to more than 3000. Did you know according to state data speeding tickets jumped by more than 265, 896 in the last year of available data? If you got the lowest ticket in Indiana we are talking about tens of millions of dollars. According to the state database 494,322 people got a speeding ticket in the most recent data which is 2024. I have requested 2025.

Yes and specifically check out Bradd’s highest speed today. Exactly as we said 76 in a 70 not 86. My kid’s set us up on @Life360 years ago. It has all of Bradd’s speeds today and we have a video.
I know a lot of people think this is a small thing. But if this trooper does this just a few times a day that is a lot of money and lying is not ok. No matter how small. And to not talk with us was very disappointing.
