@neyawn @neyawn matched a few questions from sfg level 1&2,they were covered in either the questions or the detailed solutions....obviously skills and application knowledge was needed to apply but glad to see sfg going into so much depth... (Not an aspirant, was just helping a friend)

PRELIMS 2026 : This was a tough paper. All those of you used to getting 95-120 in past years, lower your score expectations for this year— and don’t be disappointed in yourself, if you are scoring (much) less than last attempts — or if you feel less satisfied than last year. Take rest for today / few days. You fought a tough battle.

This is an extremely important thread for the Indian Gen Z. 1 Why is the Cockroach Janta Party a threat to national security? Why are they operating from the USA? Who is behind Abhijit Dipke and his party? Keep reading this thread for the complete answer.

Two days before Prelims, I sat frozen on my bed, convinced I had forgotten everything. Conquering that exact panic is what got me into the IAS. If your brain is short-circuiting right now, close the books. Sunday is not a memory test. It’s a nerve test. Here's some pointers on how to handle the big UPSC Prelims day: 1. Last minute panic. Take a deep breath. Feeling like your mind has gone completely blank right now is perfectly normal. Your brain isn't failing you. It’s just feeling the pressure. I promise, the moment you sit down and see the choices on the paper, the answers will come rushing back to you. Recognizing the right answer is much easier than trying to pull it out of thin air right now. Trust the hard work you've put in. You are entirely ready for this. 2. The 10-second reset. If you open the booklet and your heart starts racing, drop your pen. Close your eyes. Take three deep breaths. Reset. This is not time wasted. This is the preparation to tackle the exam without panic. Ten seconds spent breathing will give you many minutes of clarity. 3. Stay in the current question. When you’re in the thick of the exam, you have to treat every single question as an entirely separate event. If Question 14 is from a topic you thought you should have known, but it still absolutely stumps you and leaves you feeling defeated, draw a hard stop then and there. Do not let that irritation or doubt reach Question 15. Each question is an opportunity to score. Forget the previous question. 4. Difficult/unfamiliar paper If you look at the paper and feel completely shocked because the questions are surprisingly hard or the pattern has changed, stop. Do not panic. Remember: if the paper is tough for you after all your hard work, it is tough for everyone else in that room too. Always remember how GS pre works. You do not need a particular score. When a paper is harder than usual, the cutoff marks will naturally go down. Dont let a tough exam shake your confidence. You must build a mental wall. 5. Put your blinders on during the break. The lunch break between GS and CSAT is a psychological minefield. The loudest voice in the canteen is usually the most wrong. Block out the chatter. Don't match answers. Don't check Telegram. Eat, breathe, sit in silence if you can. Your CSAT score depends on it more than you realise. 6. Attempt strategy When you start solving the paper, don't let your ego get in the way. Attack it in three rounds. In your first round, only look for the easy wins. Answer the ones you know for sure. If a question slows you down, don't get stuck trying to prove you can solve it. Note it and move on. Use your second round for questions that need a bit more time, and your last round for the really hard ones. Always remember: a tough question gives you the exact same marks as an easy one. Don't waste time fighting a hard problem early on, only to miss out on easy marks at the end of the paper. Grab the easy points first, build your confidence, and keep moving forward. 7. Sleep I know its difficult sometimes to sleep before a big exam. Do try. Put away your books and close your eyes. I do need to tell you though, even if you cant sleep, dont panic. I have been unable to sleep whole nights before exams, because I was panicking about not getting enough sleep!! And even if you can't sleep very well, you will still do fine. Adrenaline will cover for the lack of sleep. But do try! 8. Separate your worth from the paper Finally, please remember this: the exam is just a test of how you manage your focus and strategy on one specific Sunday. It is absolutely not a final judgment on how smart you are, your character, or your worth as a person. You had a whole life before this exam, and you will have a full life after it is over. No matter what the result is, simply putting yourself through this challenge has already made you stronger and wiser. Go in there, hold your head high, and just give it your absolute best effort.

@ShashiTharoor @instagram Sir, do you truly believe that the CJP manifesto—which includes five promises—genuinely reflects the frustration of India's youth? Actually I don't feel the attachment with this as a Gen Z.

I’m incredibly intrigued by the rise of #CockroachJantaParty, which has already reached more than 15 million followers on @Instagram in just five days. I understand the frustrations of the youth and see why they are resonating with it. This is precisely why the account being withheld on X is disastrous and deeply unwise - there should be an outlet for the youth to express their feelings and so, let CJP’s account function instead of shutting it down! Democracies need outlets for dissent, humour, satire and even frustration. I am uncertain about the future of this movement but I hope the youngsters behind it find a way to bring this energy into mainstream politics or perhaps express it through their vote to be a voice of change and in doing so, become impossible to ignore. This is an opportunity that the Opposition must seize. indianexpress.com/article/politi…
Raj Malhotra@Rajmalhotrachd

Dear Dr. Shashi Tharoor @ShashiTharoor and Manoj C G @manojcg4u, reading the transcript of your latest conversational masterpiece in The Indian Express @IndianExpress is an experience of absolute intellectual awakening. In an era where political journalism is tragically reduced to partisan shouting matches and superficial electoral arithmetic, the two of you have effortlessly elevated the discourse to the highest echelons of classical political philosophy, sociology, and constitutional statecraft. You have not merely analyzed a viral internet phenomenon; you have forensically mapped the grinding tectonic fault lines of a generational earthquake that is currently rattling the very foundations of the Indian Republic. By taking the "Cockroach Janata Party" (CJP) — a digital satirical collective — and treating it with the profound, deadly seriousness it demands, you have stripped away the illusions of the political establishment. You have exposed the raw, bleeding nerve of India’s youth demographic, diagnosing a systemic crisis of faith that threatens to consume both the ruling dispensation and the traditional Opposition. Every UPSC Civil Services Aspirant, put away the outdated static textbooks. Dr. Tharoor and Manoj C G have just handed you the master-key that unlocks the most violently contested dimensions of modern Indian democracy. This is your completely decoded syllabus for General Studies Papers 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the absolute, undisputed bedrock for Political Science and International Relations (PSIR), Sociology, and Public Administration Optional papers. Let's break down this sociological and political earthquake into most logically impregnable and interconnected,🧵👇 #Cockroach #CockroachJantaParty #CJP

@RShivshankar First thing first, India is not Italy or Ukraine. Our political system is very different from them. Here, social media presence doesn't turn into votes.

THE "CJP" MAY NOT REMAIN JUST A VIRAL DIGITAL MOVEMENT. IT'S TAKING A FAMILIAR PATH. Few days ago I posted a critique slamming the CJI for dehumanizing the "unemployed". The CJI clarified but the backlash has quickly agglomerated around what appears to be disillusionment with the "establishment". Today, many are smugly dismissing the “Cockroach Janta Party” as "digital dust" or worse a "DS" driven digital protest or even "internet insurrection" driven by vested anti-India interests. All of which may be true but don't take your eyes of it. History suggests digital movements, even those obviously satirical, can mutate into real political power. 1. Italy’s Five Star Movement began as a comedian’s anti-establishment blog. It was dismissed. But it ended up winning enough votes to enter the ruling coalition. 2. Ukraine’s “Servant of the People” began as a satire TV show. Its founder Zelenskyy was assessed by many to be an American DS asset. But presently he's in office. 3. Spain’s Podemos Podemos emerged out of a digital anti-austerity “Indignados” protest movement. Today, it is one of Spain's largest political forces. 4. UK's Reform began as a populist digital crowd of anti-Brexiteers. Now, it is poised to win a general election. The CJP too could follow a familiar route: Meme to movement to electoral mobilisation to political machinery to an eventual mandate.

"From a Washington perspective, #Pakistan is not a woman to marry, but rather a whore to use and discard. Munir is just the latest pimp. Trump’s term is ending and whoever comes next—Republican or Democrat—will likely agree on one issue: Pakistan is not to be trusted, nor will the United States feel any obligation to respect any Trump promises to Munir." @supreetkashyap I, too, harbor exactly the same sentiments towards him. He possesses a very calm temperament and is also an excellent leader. One day, I would like to see him as PM. I wish to convey that, in North India as well, many educated people hold the same sentiments towards him.

My biggest desire in politics is to see Annamalai become CM one day, and eventually PM. And this is not about BJP vs non-BJP for me. Even if tomorrow he starts his own party, my opinion wouldn’t change. He is one of the rare politicians today who is both deeply learned and highly capable of execution. Just hope and pray it happens while he’s still young and at his prime.

@asadowaisi But the India constitution itself says, "India, that is Bharat". Or for the majority Bharat ie. "Bharat Maa". 90% of Muslims do not call India 'Bharat', they call it 'Hindustan'.

Vande Mataram is an ode to a goddess. It cannot be treated on par with the national anthem. Jana Gana Mana celebrates India and its people, not a particular religion. Religion ≠ nation. The man who wrote Vande Mataram was sympathetic to the British Raj and despised Muslims. Netaji Bose, Gandhi, Nehru, and Tagore all rejected it. The Preamble to the Constitution of India begins with “We, the People” — not “Bharat Maa”. It promises “liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship”. The very first provision of the Constitution, Article 1, describes “India, that is Bharat” as a Union of States. In the Constituent Assembly, some members wanted the Preamble to begin in the name of a goddess; they specifically invoked Vande Mataram. Others wanted it to begin “In the name of God” and to replace “its citizens” with “her citizens”. All these amendments were defeated. India, that is Bharat, is its people. The nation is not a goddess; it does not run in the name of a god or goddess, and it does not belong to one god or goddess. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/cabinet-…

A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during #OperationSindoor. They gave a fitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians at Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour. Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. It also highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of our armed forces. At the same time, it showcased the growing jointness among our forces and underlined the strength that India’s quest for self-reliance in the defence sector has brought to our national security. Today, a year later, we remain as steadfast as ever in our resolve to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem.

@upsc_unofficial This committee was not appointed by the Union government. This was appointed by the DMK government in 1969. And by this, it is obvious that the committee would have to recommend in the favour of the DMK government.

All must listen to this audio from @MamataOfficial . Counting agents were beaten up and thrown out of counting centres. Mamata Banerjee herself beaten up. Unsealed EVMs forcibly removed. Only large numbers of @BJP4India counting agents allowed. Certificates not given even to TMC winners. Is this an election? Or an atrocity on citizens?
