@NikTek Despite its early bugs and release controversy issues, this was and still is the only true next gen assassins creed game in the whole franchise graphical-wise.

We took Assassin's Creed Unity visuals for granted because how come this game looks this freaking GOOD graphically even for today's standards

Mi pregunta es... AC: Black Flag es de esos juegos en los que según está el clima al entrar en la cinemática, este se mantiene? Porque, de ser así, esto me parece una clara manipulación.

@dr_hinfectos La presentación visual del mar caribe lo esperaba mejorado con la misma fidelidad con el que se mostró el mar mediterráneo de odyssey. Visual y físicamente para mí odyssey tiene el mejor mar jamás creado por Ubisoft. (Aparte de que puedes bucear en cualquier parte del mapa)

Ubisoft just announced an Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake. Their stock hit a 14-year low last year. Tencent bailed them out for $1.25 billion. The first thing they did with the money was greenlight a remake of a 13-year-old game. The math is brutal. Eight Assassin's Creed games have shipped since Black Flag. Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage, Shadows. The budgets kept growing. None of them hold the cultural position Black Flag holds. Shadows, the most recent, got an 82 Metacritic. The fiscal year still closed with a $92 million loss. Now look at what they're throwing at the remake. Sixteen Ubisoft studios. Singapore leading. Montreal, Quebec, Barcelona, Bordeaux, Bucharest, Kyiv, and nine others co-developing. Matt Ryan returning as the voice of Edward Kenway. Woodkid rescoring the sea shanties. Full ray tracing, PS5 Pro enhancement, parry combat, new narrative content. This is the kind of studio deployment Ubisoft usually reserves for a flagship launch. The interesting part. Ubisoft has tried for a decade to move past Black Flag. The whole Origins-Odyssey-Valhalla-Shadows arc was a bet that RPG mechanics, 100-hour open worlds, and mythological settings were the future of the franchise. Those games made money. They also locked Ubisoft into a flagship cycle that kept getting more expensive and less reliable. Black Flag never needed that. It was a 40-hour pirate game with naval combat so tight that players still talk about it 13 years later. The sea shanties alone are a cultural artifact. Ubisoft tried to make Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, and the RPG trilogy fill the hole Black Flag left. None of them did. The Tencent subsidiary is two years old. The first flagship deliverable from the new structure is a remake of a game that shipped when Obama was president. Ubisoft spent ten years trying to move past Black Flag. Now they're spending a year moving back to it.

@WesleyW62623 Wish they added underwater exploration same way they did with odyssey. All in all looks fantastic.
