Why are Brexiteers so afraid of democracy? We know so much more now. 10 years after making the worst mistake in UK history it is time to review the 2016 decision. If the Brexit cult are right (😂) they’ve got nothing to be afraid of.

@u_n_PC Logically that does not make any sense. Firstly, market friction slows trade and economic growth. One follows the other. Secondly, Brexit damaged both the UK and the EU. You would need to test Brexit v remain in parallel universes to be sure about their relative performance.

@shorscroft68 @crowmogh May be. Probably need to separate Brexit from potholes, NHS, defence etc although there is a link in that we can’t afford to fix these things if we are skint.

@MPIainDS If Brexit had been a success you wouldn't have to defend it after 10 years. Yes, we need a democratic mandate to rejoin so Labour would be right to promise another referendum. That's how democracy works.
