John Stearns and Junior Ortiz were teammates in 83 but Stearns really never played.
His elbow injury in 82 essentially ended his career.
I picked up with the Mets in 83. So I never really saw Stearns play.
Ron Hodges and Junior Ortiz were the primary catchers in 83
Mike Fitzgerald in 84 and then they trade for Gary Carter for the 85 season.
Gary is the first catcher I truly liked that I watched regularly
