I’m sure it would! However, with 90% of the Officer intake being male, it’s already much more likely for them to be connected with other men. I didnt know any other women who were newly commissioned/at RMAS when I was in the pipeline. It could be set up if someone wanted it to be

@Andy__Shead @nicholadrummond Disagree with your view here. We have a sound recruiting strategy; last year the Army recruited 100% of what it wanted to and has already recruited over 80% of target with over 3 months to go.

Some British Army infantry regiments are seriously struggling to recruit while others are having to turn away people. I don't want to name names, but maybe we should merge 2-3 regiments struggling with headcount and raise a 4th regular Parachute Regiment battalion?

@nicholadrummond Infantry recruiting is up and strong. Whilst some Regts are more popular, there are manning levers to flex people into cap badges; individual choice, role and location all play a part

In 2007 Sgt Matthews failed the prestigious para selection course. Undeterred, he went through months of rehabilitation and fitness training. In 2008 Sgt Matthews passed the course and is now an instructor on the same course mentoring others. #FailLearnWin apply.army.mod.uk

@OldBill504 @pinstripedline Actually it is at an all time low is the ratio of applicants against those that start basic training is 8:1. It was 12:1 in 2012 and in comparison to the average call centre of 15:1 or the police at 10:1 is pretty good and we have a stringent medical, fitness and cognitive test
