@carriejones_us wonder if they pulled off the NFR stickers. I don't think Microsoft actually 'sold' Windows NT 3.1, it's like they gave it to pretty much anyone that'd look at it, to push that early adoption. Anyways here is a picture of mine with the NFR sticker ripped off by the seller

@stevesi Now Apple is basically trying to bring those key features of the desktop OS we take for advantage to iPadOS and not doing a good job at it. Charms should have been buttons that were placed on the Taskbar for easy discovery. As they say hindsight is 20/20.

@stevesi Why didn’t the team see the Desktop, Taskbar, Start and windowing apps as your key advantage over the iPad. Windows 8 should have built on that. I remember even submitting a DCR just to have the Taskbar stay on screen in addition to the Start screen.

@nixcraft Absolutely not true. Even 10-years old programs cannot always install on Windows. And for Linux - you do not know that the same "old" programs are constantly updated to be able to run. Take the PHP, Python version dependencies as an example.
