@vascoabm In our experience, sometimes Stripe's platform level block fires a little too aggressively - contacting support usually resolves the issue. There doesn't seem to be a clear path to resolving false positives for the end user.

this customer paid us 36 times a total of ~$1.8K over 1.5 years his sub failed renewal on the 28th of March, which is fine, I didn't think anything of it however, just today (7th April) Stripe blocked his payment Stripe blocked a previous customer of ours of making a payment even after he paid us 36+ times over 1.5 years and $1.8K total how does that work?

another reason to build completely self-serve products: early adopters like to test things on the weekend. if you require a sales process or need to manually feature flag users, then you're really only addressing the weekday crowd.

@drgurner It was hybrid with offices though - all my friends who worked there in Boulder all went in all the time There aren’t many good examples - I actually can’t think of a single fast growing/generational company that’s remote or started remote

it’s fascinating how deeply people thought remote work was the future now any company still leaning into it doesn’t get taken seriously and any employee who insists on working remote is considered a red flag

@peduarte @raycast not sure if you're using SES for marketing as well, but on your transactional emails, you should set up the mail from domain, otherwise mailed-by is going to be amazon:

when @jaltma first asked about coming on his show, I told him I wasn’t sure I had anything interesting to talk about… but then we made it a package deal with @Alfred_Lin and now here we are giving away all of our secrets!

I sat down with Sequoia's new stewards, @gradypb and @Alfred_Lin. Maybe a bit selfishly, I spent almost the entire time asking them about the tactics of how to do venture capital well. I got a ton out of it and hope you do too. Search Uncapped on youtube, spotify, or apple to listen there. there are so many coding agent products out there people see things like this and assume that will always be the case and even start building things with this assumption but in 6-12mo it's going to thin out

@alexkehr cool idea - only thing i can think of is you would have to be comparing it to similar businesses in the area. My backwoods diner is going to have a much higher return % from locals vs a tourist spot in Vegas.

i’ve always felt like star ratings for restaurants feel kind of broken. what if, on superlocal, we started to show how often people returned to a place more than once? would you trust that more than stars?

@adamkaz Ah, thanks for the clarification on this! Unfortunately, you're right and this can't be done through the Dashboard right now. We've gone ahead and logged this feedback to our team!

thanks for the reply! the nuance is when someone cancels their subscription, it is still active and is "set to cancel" on their next billing date. It's easier to get feedback from users right when they take action on their account vs on the next invoice date. AFAIK there is no way to filter to these:

@adamkaz Hi Adam—you can view recently cancelled subscriptions in the Dashboard by following these steps: - Go to the Subscriptions section under Billing - Use the search bar at the top of the Dashboard to search specifically for cancelled subscriptions
