Effective Leaders Aren’t Cool.

This is outrageous and typical of the promoters of the bill. IT IS NOT FOR PEOPE FACING CERTAIN AND SEVERE SUFFERING. There’s nothing about certainty or suffering in the bill. It is for anyone whom 2 docs think has a 51% chance of dying within 6 months - including those who want to die because they are depressed or lonely or feel a burden. l implore the House of Lords to either amend this Bill to reflect the campaign (ie make it only for people facing certain suffering) or reject it altogether.

Some MPs are voting for Kim's bill because of a personal experience. In their mind they see clearly who would benefit. But every pro-bill MP who shrugs over the detail, shoves the vulnerable into the background so that they can pay the price.

@samueld_james Reading Bible stories to your kids is true Bible study. Praying “Jesus make them sleep” is true prayer. Gazing at them with love in your heart is truly contemplating the divine nature. Saying wow and breathing deeply before responding is truly forming patience and grace in you.

@philknox Agree 100% - Such an important topic to talk about. We just finished a 4 week series on Friendship (your book featured prominently!), final week was When Friendships Go Wrong… Writing it untapped all sorts of grief in me!

One of the saddest things I have experienced since I started talking about friendship is the amount of pain and regret around failed or aborted friendship. 😢 We need to talk about how we navigate this brokenness and learn to love again. 🩹
