RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race. After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament. I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker. I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years. I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same. I shall remain available to the service of my country as the party and the President may assign me. In the meantime, I pledge to continue cooperating with all ongoing investigations as initiated by the relevant organs of the state to get to the root of all the allegations raised. I had four excruciating months of running battles with @AnitahAmong and the entire state machinery. In those four months, the only thing I was left with was Life. If none of you have been in the wilderness, be my guest. Like What she's going through, I had few friends left. When the state is plunging you down, no one knows you. I had nothing, but I lost everything. Up to date. I still nurse those traumatic days. I refused to give interviews because, I don't like breaking from where everyone thinks I'm strong. I kept my smile and appearance but deep inside me, I still remember those Poison threat, assasination attempts, the loneliness all in the name of conscious sombriety. My wife, up to now, has never recovered from the nonsense we went through. My daughter, at School, they used to watch news, the school head teacher banned students from watching news because they didn't want my daughter to watch her father from prison, she cost the entire school from what was their right as per the school arrangements. I'm sure, Anita Among is going through this kind of trauma. The difference between us, she's done what she's accused of, so, she deserves it. I didn't. I was just crying that my heritage(taxes) in form of treatment that is meant to treat me at Mulago, has bought then, Anita's boyfriend Magogo a Range Rover. I was making noise that funds meant to build a school where my brother depends on public schools in Nakaseke to take his children to school,have bought the Speakers private residence a generator. I was crying for so many legitimate reason. Nonetheless, I may have forgiven, I still nurse the wounds, and it is not possible to forget. I will Pray for Anita Among, to find it within her heart to find time and day, to ask Ugandans Forgiveness. All billions allocate in her unnecessary enrichment, Could have save a mother who died in hospital without equipment to hold her breath. All the monies stolen could have build a road that could have boosted ones economic growth. In this, we have orphans, we have windows, we have widowers, we have poor people, we have so many victims that are spiritually or invisibly engraved in the greed of Among's personal enrichment. For Anita's soul not to wonder even when she dies, she will have to apologize to both the dead and alive. She can not afford to suffer double jeopardy. To be curse and tossed on earth and find spirits waiting to torment your spirit when you die as well. I believe that spirits know what we don't just like we do what they can't do. You can't be waiting or praying that you die and get saved of the the troubles of this world. Settle your matters while you're alive. Since God is just, and he knows that human beings are not just, he will offer a platform of justice that is not known to anyone apart from him. Therefore, this is the right time for Anita Among to get SAVED as in, BE BORN AGAIN and Apologize not only to @KagutaMuseveni or negotiate with @mkainerugaba alone, for she has not offended them, she has just ashamed them. The offended are Ugandans who expected to be served justly. Death should teach us more than our greed. You spend time hurting others amassing what can't even stand up when arms are up against you. You still to build mansion and Monster cars that will be occupied by others without hesitation. Now, let the cars, the mansions, the land, that designer cloths stand up to defend her against Angry Ugandans. The story would be different if she invested in uplifting the livelihoods of the common Uganda. This world is not our home. Let's aspire to build a better community for all of us but not some of us.
