To everyone saying L2s can do everything Solana does rn: Which L2 currently has 300ms block confirmation times? Even with a single sequencer, no L2 is doing sub 1s blocks. This is likely to slow down further once sequencers are decentralised

@JonGalt14 Yeah, I tend to agree with a lot of that. We will eventually win, only a matter of time. But what will it mean to actually "win"? Maybe it means JP Morgan still controls everything, so nothing new under the sun... Obviously a pyrrhic victory.

You know the vast majority of infra is to scale reads not writes. Google does about 80k searches per second, Twitter about 5k tweets, PayPal ~400 payments per second, etc… overestimating the problem is worse then underestimating it and you end up optimizing for the wrong thing🧵
