Every security flaw discovered by AI was there before AI, waiting to be discovered either by people or by AI. The world has never been good at securing computer systems; finally with AI we are going to get good.

Cool trick- my Mitutoyo LF600 can measure squareness to 0 microns. You plug a Mitutoyo indicator with Digimatic output in it, and it auto scans the surface. 0 micron accuracy because it is compensated at the factory for any out of squareness in the scale (my calibration cert says 3 microns over 600mm, which is nuts on its own). My lab grade Standridge square’s worst scan is 1.7 microns out over 180mm

What a disaster. CA has good weather and vibrant tech ecosystem, and NYC has world-class amenities. WA comparative advantage was the tax regime, and now they've eliminated that. Sane founders would rather be in SF/NYC given the marginal delta in taxes and megacorps will relocate.
Governor Bob Ferguson@GovBobFerguson

I just signed the Millionaires' Tax into law. We're rebalancing our unfair system while providing free school meals, the largest small business tax break in state history, no sales tax on baby diapers, and checks to nearly 500,000 working families to make life more affordable.

@_i_am_arya Very cool! It is still an emulator or surrogate model though technically, even if trained on the physics. I know, as I created some of the first AI/ML emulators of physical EM models for @esa in 2016. That was for drone-based GNSS-R.

Today, we're announcing Heaviside, our foundation model for electromagnetism. Trained on tens of millions of designs and over 20 years of proprietary simulation data, Heaviside predicts electromagnetic behavior from geometry in 13ms, which is 800,000x faster than a commercial solver. Heaviside is not a language model, and it’s not a surrogate model. Heaviside marks a new class of foundation model for physics which understands the fundamental relationships between materials, the geometries and the electromagnetic fields they generate. We’re releasing a research preview of Heaviside in Atlas RF Studio, an interactive agentic sandbox where you describe the EM behavior you want and the model generates the physical structure that produces it. @arenaphysica , we believe the implications of this class of model extend well beyond RF, as the frontier of exquisite hardware is electromagnetically-governed: wireless communication, radar, power delivery, high-speed computing, and the interconnects inside every chip on earth. In the months ahead, we’re excited to scale up Heaviside to broader frequency ranges, design spaces, and to support silicon-level designs, and deploy it with our closest partners and collaborators in service of their biggest design challenges. If you’ve read our thesis, this is just Step 2 in our pursuit of electromagnetic superintelligence. Read the full announcement and try Atlas RF Studio…tell us what you think: arenaphysica.com/publications/r…

With the passage of SB 6002 Pierce County Sheriff's Office has turned off our Automatic License Plate Reader cameras. These cameras were not used to track people. We used them to get hits on wanted vehicles. The camera runs plates, and if it is a wanted vehicle, the deputy is notified. If it is not a wanted vehicle, the information is not even gathered. Now, we will have to go back to the old school way of typing in plates to see if that certain vehicle is wanted. Since we don't want distracted driving, even from our deputies, they won't be running many plates while they are driving. I'm all for privacy, but I am also for solving crimes and finding missing loved ones. It's a balancing act, and PCSO was doing that. We didn't put out flock cameras in your communities. This law will hamper us finding missing dementia patients, and finding that homicide suspect who just killed someone in your neighborhood. I am not saying this because, "I'm mad, and I'm taking my toys home." I am not mad about it. I am just letting you know our solve rate and prosecution rate will decrease. The reason Democrats passed this bill was to thwart ICE and keep criminal illegal aliens in our communities. They DO NOT care about your privacy. I hope voters remember this in November.

Did you know...Attorney General Nick Brown can now demand documents WITHOUT a court order, whenever he feels like it? Yes, you heard that right. With SB 5925, the AGOWA can now launch an investigation into you, demand you hand over whatever he wants, without any evidence of wrongdoing (or a warrant). That is but one of many unDemocratic laws covered by Washington Policy Center in this video. Paul Guppy | @WAPolicyCenter

your spotify cache is bigger than our largest AI model. Bonsai: 1-bit weights. 1.7B to 8B params. 14x compression vs bf16. 8x faster on edge. 256 MB to 1.2GB. Based on Qwen 3. we just came out of stealth. intelligence belongs at the edge and we're going to put it there. Apache 2.0. we compressed intelligence. more coming. @PrismML

Today, we are emerging from stealth and launching PrismML, an AI lab with Caltech origins that is centered on building the most concentrated form of intelligence. At PrismML, we believe that the next major leaps in AI will be driven by order-of-magnitude improvements in intelligence density, not just sheer parameter count. Our first proof point is the 1-bit Bonsai 8B, a 1-bit weight model that fits into 1.15 GBs of memory and delivers over 10x the intelligence density of its full-precision counterparts. It is 14x smaller, 8x faster, and 5x more energy efficient on edge hardware while remaining competitive with other models in its parameter-class. We are open-sourcing the model under Apache 2.0 license, along with Bonsai 4B and 1.7B models. When advanced models become small, fast, and efficient enough to run locally, the design space for AI changes immediately. We believe in a future of on-device agents, real-time robotics, offline intelligence and entirely new products that were previously impossible. We are excited to share our vision with you and keep working in the future to push the frontier of intelligence to the edge.
