This is like how landlords don't understand that having the mortgage on an asset paid for by their renters is profit for the owner even if they don't end up with extra cash at the end of every month.

@ItsDeAlger @sippycup_25 It’s actually the Italians that have never had an actually good coffee. They’re stuck in the 70s with their burnt, low-grade crap. The fact that the OP thinks the video is about wanting Starbucks goes to show how disconnected from good modern specialty coffee Italy really is.

Soko, a Muslim contestant on MasterChef Spain, refuses to cook pork: "For me, my religion is more important than anything else." The judges send her straight to elimination: "Here, you come to cook everything." x.com/edgar___es/sta…

The “euros don’t recover or bury bodies” tweet is funny in part because one of the biggest differences between Ireland and the UK is we’re a funerary culture and they’re not. I only mention it because it shows there isn’t a single European cultural attitude around anything so

I went to Ireland like a decade ago and it was the most publicly pro-Palestine place I’ve ever seen. I was in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Belfast, and you’d see Palestinian flags and murals on every third street.
Samantha Smith@SamanthaTaghoy

Dear Zohran, St Patrick’s Day is about Ireland. Irish history. Irish culture. Irish people. ONLY IRELAND. It is not about Palestine. And it’s an insult to the Irish to hijack their sacred day with your Middle East political agenda. Not everything is about you.

@ViaVerdict @Y144John @politicalawake Dude you’re the triggered one. Randomly posting your paranoid thoughts on a lovely post about kids enjoying Irish culture. Meanwhile you sit on the other side of an ocean claiming to know what’s best for people who actually live in Ireland.

andrea stella expressed frustration over the limited engine information coming from mercedes HPP, saying mclaren is forced to run the car and then react to the data instead of being able to simulate and properly predict how it will behave on track. toto wolff said that suppliers can’t make everybody happy when asked about concerns from customer teams.

@dfatirl St Brigid was a Catholic, and would have vomited at the sign of your “family planning” banners. Use her memory to inspire women, but don’t culturally appropriate her to your weird, dystopian secularism.

Delighted the EU is going to introduce a digital Euro payments infrastructure to replace Visa/Mastercard & Apple/Google Pay. It will have zero fees and be 100% European-only, separate from American interference. This is exactly the kind of moves a massive trading block should be taking.
