the Soviet Union had women cosmonauts and a legion of decorated antifascist war heroines the same year women in Canada were first "allowed" to open bank accounts without their husbands' written permission.

@slimygirlholes Ahh I see, then the USSR must've been heaven for women right?

WAPO: Iran has hit far more U.S. military assets than reported, satellite images show. Iranian airstrikes have damaged or destroyed at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at U.S. military sites across the Middle East since the war began, hitting hangars, barracks, fuel depots, aircraft and key radar, communications and air defense equipment, according to a Washington Post analysis of satellite imagery. The amount of destruction is far larger than what has been publicly acknowledged by the U.S. government or previously reported.
Experts who reviewed The Post’s analysis said the damage at the sites suggested that the U.S. military had underestimated Iran’s targeting abilities, not adapted sufficiently to modern drone warfare and left some bases under-protected.
“The Iranian attacks were precise. There are no random craters indicating misses,” said Mark Cancian, a senior adviser with the CSIS and a retired Marine Corps colonel, who reviewed the Iranian images at The Post’s request.
“The Iranians have deliberately targeted accommodation buildings across multiple sites with the intent to inflict mass casualties,” said William Goodhind, an investigator with the open-access research project Contested Ground who reviewed the imagery. “It is not just equipment, fuel storage and air base infrastructure under fire, but also soft targets, such as gyms, food halls and accommodation.”
The Post also found that the attacks hit a satellite communications site at al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Patriot missile defense equipment at Riffa and Isa air bases in Bahrain and Ali al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, a satellite dish at the Naval Support Activity Bahrain — which serves as the headquarters of the U.S. 5th Fleet — a power plant at Camp Buehring in Kuwait and five fuel storage bladder sites across three bases.

@OGBlackRedGuard certain types can be pretty good actually because 1) if they're screaming it's hard to understand the lyrics and understanding the lyrics is distracting, and 2) it remains at a pretty constant intensity level without sudden shifts, which can also be distracting

⚡️ Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf:
From the beginning, we have been following the ongoing process with distrust, and as expected, the United States has once again violated its commitments even before negotiations began.
As the President of the United States clearly stated, the ten-point initiative presented by the Islamic Republic of Iran is the basis, the approved practical framework, and the fundamental ground for these talks. However, three clauses of this proposal have been breached so far:
1. Failure to adhere to the first clause of the ten-point initiative regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon; a commitment that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif explicitly referred to and declared as "an immediate ceasefire everywhere, including Lebanon and other areas, effective immediately."
2. The entry of an aggressive drone into Iranian airspace, which was destroyed in the city of "Lar" in Fars province, constitutes a blatant violation of the clause concerning the prohibition of any new aggression against Iranian airspace.
3. Denial of acceptance of Iran's right to enrichment, which was stipulated in the sixth clause of this framework.
And now, even that "basic framework for negotiation" has been openly and flagrantly violated in three of its key clauses even before negotiations have begun.
Under these circumstances, there is no meaning to either a mutual ceasefire or negotiations.

I like how the Wall Street Journal said that the E-3 was “damaged”. That is half of an airplane.

It’s good to see DSA expressing solidarity with Nerdeen. Maybe now, people will seriously engage with her politics, instead of writing them off or attacking them as many have done. The Zionists tried to come for her because of her revolutionary politics, and her reputation as an unyielding and unapologetic defender of the rights of her people.

@primarycatdad Honestly everything and anything we do as humans is impossible on our own. It all requires the work of thousands past and present. The idea that we can do anything on our own is thinking born of our oppressors.
