Today, we took another important step forward towards addressing the humanitarian crisis of substance use and open air drug markets in Kensington.   With the first of its kind Kensington Wellness Court and Wellness Support Center, we are starting a people-centered approach to decisively addressing the substance use problem that is rampant on the streets of Kensington.     While it may not be a cure-all, we believe that along with the Riverview Wellness Village, we are creating the foundation of a brand new wellness-ecosystem that will lead to a healthier, thriving Kensington and City of Philadelphia. —— @PhillyPolice, @marksquilla, @RepGiral, @CM_JimHarrity, @SenTonyWilliams, @SenSharifStreet

I’m proud of every single appointment that we’ve made through my first 9 and ½ months in office as Mayor of Philadelphia.    Aren Platt has always been by my side as a crucial ally for may years, and has handled his work with professionalism, acumen, and grace. I thank him for his service and I am excited to continue working with Aren in the future.    Filling his vacated role, Vanessa Garrett Harley brings a sterling reputation in public service, whose 24 years of City experience will make her a seamless fit on my Executive team as Chief Deputy Mayor of Social Impact and Strategic Initiatives, alongside Chief Deputy Mayor Sincere Harris and Chief of Staff, Tiffany Thurman.   This model matters to me in terms of governance and how I work best as the Mayor of this City, and I am beyond confident in the direction of this Administration.    We’re going to keep adding people who want to serve the public, people who want to work hard every day for the citizens of Philadelphia, and people who believe in the mission: To make Philadelphia the Safest, Cleanest, Greenest Big City in America, with Access to Economic Opportunity for All.
