My lovely mum died last night, it’s a relief she has been slowly drifting away from us over years and is finally at peace.

77 years ago today over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp #Auschwitz, including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army. 1,689 days of murder, pain, suffering, and humiliation were over. Today we all remember. We must remember. | #Auschwitz77

From answering calls and booking Covid-19 tests, to booking vaccinations and helping with the staff wellbeing line, the work of the Absence Line team has been vital. That's why they've been shortlisted for a staff award! Good luck team ⭐ #CNTWstars

@agataNHS Welcome in advance to the North East. I'm only an adopted Geordie (Scottish by birth), but it's the best 😁

Had the loveliest send off from my wonderful colleagues at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust last week. Feel grateful to have worked with such amazing people in Radiology and beyond. Now time for a week off before the next adventure, this time in Newcastle! 💙

Really disappointed that 4 teenage girls did not abide by social distance rules & told me to “go back to my town Wuhan that started COVID”. Not prompted, except by the fact that I ‘look’ young & walked passed. #BeKind? #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek ...

@agataNHS @JessyDouble Experience tells me a large minority feel rules shouldn't apply to them, only others. And numerous people believe Karen on Facebook before scientists and officials. Perhaps if they'd been getting daily updates on the number of bodies we have in the mortuary like I have...

@David_Miller18 @JessyDouble I, clearly naively, assumed the public would follow official guidelines only from credible sources. Also, there’s talks of lockdown potentially being eased from MONDAY (to be confirmed in today’s briefing). We’ve done it this long, why can’t people wait an extra few days?

@agataNHS @JessyDouble It's not surprising when the headlines mid week proclaimed lockdown was being eased and sunbathing would be allowed. In the eyes of many that was the green light to go back to normal. Even found a pub open on Friday (was swiftly dealt with). New slogan even removes "stay home".

@JessyDouble I completely agree - it was so frustrating seeing the amount of people sunbathing, and even more people not trying to social distance when walking past each other. There was police presence too, who didn’t say anything to any of the groups... disappointing.

@agataNHS It’s just really depressing! I’ve not made it their since lockdown, partly because I can’t waddle that far 😂 and partly because I know if I saw scenes like that it would make me too angry! I know how much ppl want to get out but it’s putting ppls lives at risk by socialising! 😞
