@neo_officialll I noticed this today while watching a video by a girl. She talked about being careful with people who turned religious. For men, she said they often turn to religion after doing something bad. For women, she was less direct, she said maybe they failed in life or want to give up.

I understand Osadebe better than Oriental Brothers but that doesn’t change the fact that central Igbo, the very standard Igbo language, isn’t heavily influenced by Owerri and Umuahia than any other contributing Igbo dialect. Let’s be serious. I read Igbo novels as a kid.

It gets them very mad, as seen in the quoted tweet. They want to feel important by denying their Igboness. The process of you trying to tell them how they are Igbo is the best feeling in the world for them. Don’t ask them, “what of your name, your market days?” No fall my hand, abeg! Henceforth, agree with them totally without any shred of argument and see how disappointed and angry they would be. Igbos are the most intelligent Black race in the world. The richest Black race, and by God, Igbo never reach people wey dey beg to be Igbos. Let’s end that argument and take pride in our Igboness.
