BREAKING: In a major decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has stayed, or temporarily blocked, a Fifth Circuit ruling that would have reinstated stricter federal restrictions on the abortion medication mifepristone. The ruling keeps in place current U.S. Food and Drug Administration rules allowing mifepristone to be prescribed via telehealth and shipped by mail while litigation brought by Louisiana continues. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito filed dissents.
