@aishku @jesskcoleman A bad inference? I live near several "reimagining" of our roads by open-streets leftist transplants & the impact upon drivers: huge. They turned a 4way + where vert was 1way st & horiz was 2way ave, & made all 3 arms a one-way dumping northward. 20m for ambulance 1 block.

The entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge should be one of the most majestic places in NYC. Instead, it’s a chaotic mess designed to move cars. This plan is a good first step. But let’s finish the job and reimagine this space for the 10 million pedestrians and cyclists who actually use it every year.

New data just out on tourism to NYC. Int'l visitors declined 3.2% in 2025. Biggest drops: Canada, France, Germany, Brazil. A reminder that when you attack your allies, there is a real economic cost.

PRISCILLA'S LAW NOW! This is a woman that was hit by a biker that didn’t stop for a red light at 40th St & Queens Blvd. She was crossing from the Lowery St. Subway Station. The bicyclist was “filtering” through traffic that was stopped for the light. The NYPD Officer that was on scene let the bicyclist go, allegedly because he was a minor. She needed an ambulance, I’m guessing she got the bill for that ride. The Bicyclists need to be licensed and insured.

@bennyjohnson Did you have to show it again at the gate? Or did they assume you were checked earlier? Y’know, like the difference between showing an id when registering to vote instead of when you show up at the election site. #dipshit

I just went through TSA. Had to show my Government ID. Turns out — 90% of America have flown commercial and had to do the same thing. That’s +300 million people. If we can do it to fly we can do it to vote. Both must require absolute security. PASS the SAVE America Act 🇺🇸

I’ll ask again Did parents in the 70s/80s/90s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies

My dad sold the house I grew up in back in 1999. It's 60 years old, 2,500 SF, on a third of an acre on Long Island NY. If he owned it today the property taxes would be about $2,600. Not bad right? The problem is that's per month not per year. Yup, 33K a year in property taxes!

After six years of doing DoorDash and over 10,000 deliveries, I’m officially done. And if you’re the type of person reading this who orders delivery and throws a garbage tip on the order, I’m talking directly to you. I just delivered an order to an apartment building where the elevator was broken, which meant I had to carry the entire order up six flights of stairs. Six flights. By the time I got to the top I was already irritated, but then I checked the tip and saw what you left me. One dollar. A single dollar after I just climbed six flights of stairs carrying your food. And don’t sit there pretending you didn’t know exactly what you were doing. You saw the distance. You saw the total. You clicked confirm anyway. People like you love to hide behind the app while someone else burns time and energy bringing you food because you couldn’t be bothered to go get it yourself. So yeah, when I got to the door I was furious. I dropped the food off and left a note saying I tampered with the food. Did I actually touch it? No. But now whoever ordered it gets to sit there staring at the bag wondering if they should eat it or throw it away, wasting time the same way they wasted mine. And if you’re reading this thinking “wow this driver sounds unhinged,” ask yourself if you’re the same kind of person who leaves a $1 tip and expects someone to climb flights of stairs like a delivery mule. Because the truth is people like you are the reason drivers quit. Six years. Over 10,000 deliveries. No raises, no appreciation, just customers like you who think a dollar is acceptable after someone just dragged your dinner up six flights of stairs. So yeah, if this story makes you uncomfortable, good. It probably means you’re exactly the kind of customer I’m talking about. Credit: Jaquel Hollimon
