@GerrydeBrun @AerLingus @eoghancorry I've noticed this with airline accounts when they get tagged. First is the generic response (as above) then second you'll get someone claiming to be from customer services getting in touch.

@mynamehear I once worked with a South African guy who tried to convince me that chicken was actually a vegetable. So hot dogs being vegetable is not really a surprise tbh

Early 90s, working in IT Support for a national company, I really fancied a girl who worked in the sales department. Ensured her computer would fail every week so I would have to go to her desk and fix it. Did my plan work ? Nope, she hated me.

This is MMA fighter Sean McInnes. When Anne Marie Boyle asked him to leave her alone, he punched her in the face so hard that he broke her cheekbone and her eye socket, knocked her unconscious, and left her with a life-altering brain injury. He was given less than two years behind bars. It would be a real shame if this post was widely circulated and impacted his career in a negative way.

@DjsAviation I suspect their will be a big drop in tkt prices as airlines recover. The issue for the big ME3 is how quickly will customer confidence return for connecting flights particularly. Some may opt for direct Europe to Asia flights rather than a transfer.

@airwaysmagazine Was thus aircraft leased or owned by Thai? If leased, would it not need to be returned to thd leasing company. Or do they come to a deal with the airline and discard it.

🟢 #DidYouKnow | A retired Airbus A380 became a roadside attraction in Thailand. HS-TUE (msn 125) was delivered to Thai Airways in October 2013. The aircraft flew for less than seven years and was stored at U-Tapao from April 2020.

@SimonCalder If the FCO advice is not to travel, even just changing planes in the UAE, will this invalidate any claim on the travel insurance?. I.e. you travelled when the advice was not to

Foreign Office warns against travel to/through the UAE. That includes merely changing planes at Dubai or Abu Dhabi airports. Yet thousands of British travellers do just that every day. Emirates and Etihad are selling tickets for flights through their hubs. independent.co.uk/travel/news-an…

@AntCoulls I used to travel by train a lot from Birmingham to Manchester. Just before Stockport ( Cheadle I think) there was a garden full of loco cut offs like this. Not sure if the homeowner still has them.

MOVIES I’VE NEVER SEEN #12 Joker (2019) Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro Is it an incel manifesto, a King of Comedy copy, or a genuinely thought-provoking take on mental health, powered by an electrifying Phoenix performance? Should I watch it? Convince me: YES or NO—and why

This case, laughable in many ways, and struck out in forceful terms by Mrs Justice Collins Rice, still cost me six months and over £100k in fees. I should be able to recover this from Kamal - I don't know if in practice I'll be able to.

A tax barrister sued me personally for £8m for libel after we linked him to a tax avoidance scheme. Today the High Court struck out the claim, granted summary judgment, and ruled it was a SLAPP. The judgment is highly critical.
