@tkexpress11 I don't understand what all the fuss is about. MRR = monthly revenue from customer subscriptions whether those customers are on monthly, quarterly or annual subscriptions. Why not the same for ARR? Churn is always a risk. Don't include one-time revenue.

I really wish we could agree on separate acronyms for: ARR = Annual Recurring Revenue ARR = Annual RUN RATE Revenue The ambiguity can lead to breakage of trust when a founder implies the first but it’s really the second. They’re not the same

Every time we come back to SV, my 16 yo son gets a massive dose of cognitive dissonance when he notices that apparently smart and reasonable people seem eager to obtain something he's convinced is utterly worthless.

There are so many products that feel like a real chore to use. You spend time "working for the product", rather than the product working for you. @attio is a masterclass in building a product that works for the user. Truly superb execution.

Former Blackhawk pilot here. I’ll try to describe it for you. Imagine you are looking at the world through toilet paper tubes, and everything is just different shades of green and black, with stars and ground lights hard to differentiate and aircraft lights that look the same as those. Then you have 3 different radio frequencies going off in your ears. Then you’re trying to navigate without any peripheral vision. And you’re trying to keep the aircraft under control. And you are trying to keep watch for all traffic, not just one plane. Because there are several in the sky at once and you’re tying to mentally keep track of all of them. And you get distracted for like 5 seconds or your focus goes elsewhere, like you instructor pilot asking you a question about airspace regulations. Boom. You’re all dead. Flying these machines is really tough, and the airspace and NVGs make it a heck of a lot tougher.

Crazy how long it takes for fatherhood to become fun. My son just turned 3 and I almost want to say I’m only just now starting to find this gig fun, like at all. I guess fathers don’t talk about this because it sounds bad but 0-2 is pretty boring. Not much for a man to do until they can roughhouse and form ideas.

Another year, another eye-watering tax bill. Even my accountant is telling me to look at Singapore/Cyprus. Has anybody done this and stayed in the UK? i.e. - Cyprus company = pays 12.5% corporation tax, 0% dividend tax - Live in UK and pay 8.75% dividend tax
