@IntegrityAvenue Sometimes the best thing you can do is distract yourself with a small, simple task. It gives you a chance to calm down, be left alone for a minute, and just relax. That’s what I do in real life.

@alexanderzone Damn I really felt this. “Where are you” “table for seven?” Like the overwhelming grip of everyone else’s expectations and having no words to give them

They asked for a story about someone delaying the inevitable with one more small action.
So I wrote about the most reliable escape from responsibility known to office workers:
One more coffee.
"Get it done faster - we need to send it to the client right now!" my boss yells.
"So, have you decided where we’re going tonight?" my wife texts.
It’s almost four. Two more hours until the end of the workday.
I need coffee.
Office. Hallway. Elevator. Too many people. Stuffy air. Everyone killing time on a smoke break.
Finally, the coffee machine.
My phone won’t stop ringing. It’s my boss.
I decline the call and press "Cappuccino."
I have three minutes until the cup is full.
That should be enough.
My phone buzzes again.
Boss: Where are you?
Wife: Should I book a table for seven?
The machine hums. The coffee is pouring too fast.
I press "Cancel."
"Something’s wrong with it," I tell the woman waiting behind me.
I start another cappuccino.
Wife: I booked it. Seven o’clock.
Boss: The client expects the file by 4:15.
It’s 4:13.
The cup starts filling again.
I press "Cancel."
Now I have three more minutes.

So… you think you can write? Grab a coffee. This is a writing prompt for all you would be authors out there, show me your chops, show me what you’ve really got! Place a person (real or imagined) at the precise point where one more drink, one more purchase, one more word, one more hour of work, or one more scroll would feel like relief. Show what temperance costs in that moment, and what it preserves. Do not resolve it neatly. Let the tension remain on the page.

@JasonTezos So… did he end up giving you his number after all? 😅

@mrmikeMTL Sometimes I can’t even get through a CAPTCHA on the first try. At this point, I’m not even sure I’m human anymore. 😅

It can’t be just me who thought it looked pretty bland, repetitive, and graphically underwhelming, right? It honestly feels like almost everything - even the facial animations - is straight out of Spider-Man 2. So… where’s the progress?
I’m also worried it’ll end up being nothing but boss fights and battles against random soldiers, with no real open world, or even something that feels close to one.
Not buying it for now. I’ll wait for the reviews and decide then.
English

@jthecarnivore Oh, brother… Why would you do this to me?
Fine. I’m grilling steaks tomorrow too. Promise.
English

@federicodonaton You’re really tempting me to switch back to Claude… Is it really that good?
English

@firstladyships Absolutely. People are generally pretty greedy by nature. That’s not even an insult it’s just a fact
English

@waseemkhnwasi Haha, that’s some incredibly useful information, isn’t it? 😅
English

@leaving_tech Ten posts… That’s a lot of ideas you’ve got in your head
English

@alexanderzone The issue is that you’re not asking for enough. Request not taken seriously
English

@Krithika_Reddy1 That’s honestly impressive. You’ve got a lot of ideas in your head, and I think that’s awesome
English

@alexanderzone I post based on my time availability, never planned like that
English

@PatriciaBrodhrs I kinda like it too. Has that dramatic main-character energy
English

@JamesMalsawm While I’m grabbing a coffee, the rest of the world can wait.
English

@alexanderzone I love the tension and the story structure.
Hope you're not late and get scolded by the boss.

@leaving_tech @alexanderzone Only if you do a lot of commenting on big accounts.

@leaving_tech I use both Grok and X, and the difference compared to paying for them separately is only 10 bucks. So I decided to just give Premium+ a try.
