@GlosPCC Well it appears @LibDems don’t believe in PCC’s, except in Surrey….Policing does need truly independent PCCs, who truly hold Policing to account, not play lip service to CC’s. They are there to represent US all, not what their Political Party direct..

@LeftieStats @Luna_100_0 That’s interesting. Some other shortcomings: 1. No-one has ever taken 40% of the vote in a Surrey PCC election. 2. There’s over 100 independent councillors in Surrey, including whole boroughs controlled by Indys. 3. Labour have never broken 20% in a Surrey PCC election.

@alexcoley @Luna_100_0 This is simply based on national trends, I can't accurately predict local independents. Given that very few of them are running (yourself being one of the few who is) I consider that an acceptable shortcoming

@Luna_100_0 Kevin Hurley, who was Police Commissioner 2012-16, ran as an independent in 2021, getting 18%. David Munro, incumbent PCC (former Tory) also ran as an independent, getting 12%. Neither of them are running in 2021; the only Other is Alex Coley (IND) a local councillor.
