100% open-source robotic arm! 🦾 Seeed Studio released reBot-DevArm, a robotic arm project lowering the barrier to learning robotics... or how people call it these days: physical AI. Everything is open-sourced. Hardware blueprints include sheet metal and 3D printed parts. Detailed BOM covers every screw with purchase links. Software and algorithms include Python SDK, ROS1/2, Isaac Sim, and LeRobot. Let's have a look at robot specs. So it has 1.5 kg payload, 650 mm max reach, 4.5 kg weight, and less than 0.2 mm repeatability with 6 DoF plus gripper. This is true open source for robotics. When every screw, CAD file, motor driver, and algorithm is freely available, desktop robotic arms become accessible to students, researchers, and developers worldwide. ‼️ Start your career in robotics today: github.com/Seeed-Projects… ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

The bottleneck for most people who want to build a robot isn't motivation it's not knowing where to start what parts. what order. what software stack. Tnkr solves exactly that — open source robot projects with step-by-step assembly, CAD, firmware, everything tnkr.ai/explore

tesla's optimus v3 hand patent just dropped → tendon driven → actuators in the forearm → cables routed through the wrist like human anatomy → 4 degrees of freedom per finger and 2 in the wrist advanced cable routing to minimize friction and crosstalk during movement they're not building a gripper instead rebuilding the human hand with motors and cables instead of muscle and tendon musk called “the hand the hardest engineering problem in optimus” afterall nature has perfected it and we can inherit the knowledge from it these patent shows why: dexterity requires mimicking biology not replacing it with servos

To build the GitHub for robots, we must first build an all in one repository for your robotics project. We just did that. Try it now tnkr.ai

THIS IS CRAZY... SOMEONE BUILT WHAT HARDWARE ENGINEERS HAVE NEEDED FOR DECADES you have an idea for a hardware project. it’s been sitting in your head for weeks... you finally decide to build it and then reality hits datasheets, component hunting, spec comparisons, building a bill of materials line by line... sketching wiring diagrams… then fixing them… again writing assembly steps from scratch none of this is actually building and it takes forever someone finally fixed that they built blueprint.am you describe your project in plain english like you'd explain it to a friend and it generates: – a complete wiring diagram – a full bill of materials – step-by-step assembly instructions instantly the gap between idea and prototype just got a lot smaller

After building 25+ XLeRobots for hackathons, we redesigned almost every structural part except the arms and head. And we’re open sourcing the hardware upgrade behind our XLeRobot build. It’s the actual internal print file we use for customer builds and hackathons. We made it: Easier to print - complete .3mf with tested on Bambu P1S/P2S/H2S/H2D. Easier to build - square side-loaded nut traps that don't fall out during disassembly, snap-on driver board covers (no tools), dedicated USB hub mounts for clean cable routing, quick-release power bank mount, etc. More stable base - bearing-supported omni wheel modules so the axle is loaded from both sides, replacing the stock LeKiwi chassis that wobbles under full XLeRobot weight. Thanks to: @IsaacSin12 @ThomasSchicksal @xu280589 @QILIU9203 @VectorWang2 @LeRobotHF GitHub repo in reply. Technical specs in thread. Here is what we updated:

From idea → to motion → to precision. This is what an industrial robotic pipeline looks like, not magic, not mystery, just a series of well-defined layers working together. - Sensors collect data. - AI understands it. - Planning decides the next move. - Control executes it. - Feedback refines it. That’s it. Robotics isn’t about building a robotic arm from scratch; it’s about understanding how these blocks connect. Start small. Learn one layer. Then stack them. What looks complex is just structured simplicity. If you understand the pipeline, you’re already closer than you think. #Robotics #ROS2 #EdgeAI #EmbeddedSystems #ComputerVision #Automation #AI #Engineering #Innovation #BuildInPublic #ComputerVisionfordrones

🚨Architects are going to hate this. Someone just open sourced a full 3D building editor that runs entirely in your browser. No AutoCAD. No Revit. No $5,000/year licenses. It's called Pascal Editor. Built with React Three Fiber and WebGPU -- meaning it renders directly on your GPU at near-native speed. Here's what's inside this thing: → A full building/level/wall/zone hierarchy you can edit in real time → An ECS-style architecture where every object updates through GPU-powered systems → Zustand state management with full undo/redo built in → Next.js frontend so it deploys as a web app, not a desktop install → Dirty node tracking -- only re-renders what changed, not the whole scene Here's the wildest part: You can stack, explode, or solo individual building levels. Select a zone, drag a wall, reshape a slab -- all in 3D, all in the browser. Architecture firms pay $50K+ per seat for BIM software that does this workflow. This is free. 100% Open Source.

Researching hardware sucks. I just want to solder, code, and CAD, not spend hours figuring out what will actually work together. So I built blueprint.am → it does all the part research and feasibility checks before you click buy. Stop researching. Start building..
