Mark Cavendish’s chain came off today at the #TdF2024 as he crossed the line because he dropped from ~1500W to 0W. Quite common. 1.5kW is 2 horse power! Enough to power a toaster, or a kettle to boil water. Astonishing amount of power.

Cyclists in the road. I have to pay insurance on my car, pass an exam to drive, and pay taxes to drive on the road and they get to be on it interrupting the traffic flow for free? Nonsense. Don't get me started on when they bring a baby w/them on these death trips.

Cycling isn't about the kit, it's not about the bike, it's not about the tyres, it's about the legs. The lady who started the climb at the same time but finished much later although in the perfect kit and s-works bike learned this lesson today.
